Two for One!

Since it's been SOOOO long since I posted, tonight I have two for one! I did these two cards last night for a workshop, using all retiring sets and several of the In Color™ colors.

The first uses the In Full Bloom and Wonderful Words II sets, Cranberry Crisp Cardstock. It's colored with Marigold Morning, Cranberry Crisp & True Thyme. The border image from In Full Bloom was stamped as the background, above the "smile". The flower image was then stamped with Black Stazon on Shimmery White cardstock. I used the blender pen to pick up ink from the lid of the classic pads. What an EASY way to watercolor!

For this one, I first stamped the Cheesecloth background in Cool Caribbean on Cool Caribbean and sponged the edge. I then randomly stamped flower of the solid image using Petal Prints across a piece of Naturals White Cardstock. I then overstamped the outline image using Basic Black. I tied the ribbon around the Naturals between two flowers, added the Many Thanks and layered it all together. Oh, I did sponge the edge of the white also before layering to the black.

Enjoy! Get the retiring sets, accessories and colors NOW!!! Me, I'm impatiently awaiting the arrival of the new catalog, along with a few thousand other demos across the US and Canada. I bet the UPS website is getting quite the workout with all of us trying to track our orders. I'm also looking forward to a weekend with NOTHING on the agenda! Well, there is yard work and such, but nowhere but home that we have to be. Love it!

Finally-a NEW creation!

I should have been cleaning tonight (company coming this weekend!), but decided I needed a break. I had a bit of a creative block initially (probably in part because I can't see the floor or table in my stamp room!?!), but finally came up with this.

It uses the new In Color™ Print Designer Series Paper, cardstock and ink in the Soft Sky. LOVE IT!!! And notice the BLING!! We now have rhinestone brads- 2 color sets in circle and square. These are the Ice Circles. 3 sizes each color in a set. I used the flower print from the print paper. It's always VERY HARD to make that first cut. The stamp set is a new Level 2 Hostess set called In the Spotlight. It looks very fun and has LOTS of potential! The "Birthday hugs and wishes" is from a new word set, Hugs and Wishes. I hope you've gotten your Fall/Winter Preview so you can check out some of these great new goodies! I'm excited to have them, just wish I had more time to play!

I will try to post more soon, but time is very limited. I don't share tons of personal info here, but know that I am just SWAMPED right now. Baseball, company, a workshop to prep, a son's birthday, etc. UGH! I will need a sanity break now and then.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you are all having a great summer. Hoping for RAIN in SE Nebraska tomorrow!!!

Office Prints

I made myself stamp something tonight to try and get back in the groove! Here is what I came up with:

My inspiration came from the SCS Card Sketch Challenge 126 and the strips of the Palette O'Prints paper that are still laying on my floor from the swap awhile back! There is a new sketch each week on SCS, so go check them out if you need layout ideas! I thought this was a great layout for all the strips I have. I used the flowers from the Office Accoutrement set in the Spring Mini, along with the dotted flower & thank you verse from Simply Said. I had put that set away since I've used it so much lately, but it made it's way back out! The colors are Elegant Eggplant, Certainly Celery & Apricot Appeal. I LOVE that we have all these GREAT coordinating accessories! It's super easy to put things together!

Thanks for stopping by! I appreciate all of you coming by, even when I go so long without posting! I always have good intentions, but sometimes don't make it happen. I had to go looking for layout inspiration tonight and I feel better now that I've done something. I'm getting NEW RUBBER tomorrow-my preorder goodies will arrive! But, we have baseball so it may be a few days before I post anything. Later!
