January Club Samples

Here are the club projects from last week! It was good to see the ladies again-it had been awhile! The weather cancelled us in December!

The first project used the Love You Much Bundle items-the Love You Much set, Candy Lane Designer Series paper & Heart to Heart punch.

To start, I cut a Top Note out of folded Pink Pirouette textured cardstock so that it opens. The overall size is smaller than an average card, but perfect for a gift card or small note. Out of the scrap where the Top Note was cut, we punched two sets of hearts with the Heart to Heart punch. I also cut a strip of DSP using the Top Note die in the Big Shot. I placed the strip right on the center point of the die. We attached the DSP to the Pink, then tied the ribbon around the top edge. We stamped the scallop image from the Love You Much set in Chocolate chip on both Riding Hood Red & Very Vanilla. The Riding Hood Red image we punched with the Scallop circle punch and added white dots with the gel pen. We punched the center of the image with the 1" circle punch and colored the heart with a blender pen and Pink Pirouette ink. Attach the vanilla circle with a dimensional, and layer on the scallop. Inspired by samples shared by Patty Bennett & Mary Brown on SUDSOL.

Next we created this card using the new Just Buzzin' By set. Card base is Basic Black. Background is the NEW Good Morning Sunshine DSP in a Summer Sun pattern. We stamped the sayings, one at the top, one at the bottom. We added the hive and the dancing bee in Basic Black and used a blender pen with Summer Sun ink for accents. The flying bee was stamped on Whisper White and punched with the 1-1/4 punch, layered on a Summer Sun 1-3/8 punch, layered on a Basic Black Scallop circle punch. The bee was attached with dimensionals over the Black Gingham ribbon. Corners were punched with the Ticket Corner Punch. Pretty quick and easy!

Lastly, was this one also using the Just Buzzin' By set. Someone shared a card with the same layout on SUDSOL last week, so I started with that for inspiration. I chose a new DSP-also from the Good Morning Sunshine pack. Colors are Kiwi Kiss, Summer Sun & Pacific Point. I chose the card base & ribbon to be Pacific Point, background layer is Summer Sun. Flowers & Bee are colored with blender pens & the coordinating colors on Whisper White. Another quick and easy!

Coaster Calendar

I made these last week for my club ladies, in part to make up for one of the projects we missed in December. Sorry the picture is a little weird around the edges. I used the Candy Lane paper that comes with the Love You Much Bundle. The bundle is only available through the 31st so order yours TODAY!! I attached the DSP to a chipboard coaster with a glue stick and sanded the edges to the shape of the coaster. The heart is a Sticky Cut (from the Sticky Cuts Letters set page 180). They are super sticky, and can be a little tricky to get placed. But, the result is fabulous once you've stuck on the glitter-in this case the Chunky Sprinkles Light Pink (also page 180). The medallion is made by taking Riding Hood Red Designer Label punch, adding a Very Vanilla 1" circle, and topping it with a 'one of a kind', stamped in Riding Rood Red on Pink Pirouette and cut with scissors. Attach a magnet strip to the top and bottom on the back and you have a great calendar for the fridge or filing cabinet!

Here is a sample I created for a recent swap, using the Congrats & Polka Dot Punches SAB sets, the Ribbon Bundle, & the Delicate Dots DSP. The card base is So Saffron. I stamped the 'congratulations' in Certainly Celery at the bottom of the Saffron. I stamped the smaller flower from the Polka Dot set on the background in Saffron. I layered the stripe piece of DSP on Whisper White and attached the Saffron ribbon . The punched images were stamped on textured CS, Certainly Celery on Certainly Celery & Bashful Blue on Bashful Blue. Brads were added to the center and images attached with a dimensional.

Modified Calendar

Here is what I'm using for my calendar this year! Like every other parent out there, I have to have something to track activities!! We missed a basketball practice last weekend because I didn't have mine up and going!! I found the basic calendar at Wal-mart and gave it the Stampin' Up! look!

I used a new set-Petal Pizazz that will be available in the upcoming Spring/Summer Idea book. Demo perk-preordering sets!! I took a piece of Shimmery White cardstock and used inks that coordinate with the pages in the calendar-see below.

I first stamped the 'enjoy' from the Enjoy Every Moment set in Chocolate Chip on the lower right corner. I then randomly added flowers around it using Regal Rose, Only Orange, Not Quite Navy & more Chocolate Chip. I added a flower brad in the 'o' of enjoy. I debated on adding more brads, but decided I didn't want it too bumpy to write on!

Here is a picture of the actual front cover of the book, and how it fits into the vinyl cover. I didn't attach the cardstock to the book. I put the cardstock in the cover, then added the book. It works better if they can move independently! and yes, I found that out the hard way!

So far this is working great! It is just about the size of a checkbook and fits very easily in my purse. Now, to get new checkbooks stamped too!

Oh, can't leave without a teaser. My NEW catalogs are tracking to arrive Tuesday & Wednesday!! Can't wait to see all the great new things I've been hearing about!!!

Above you will find a spreadsheet of the retiring accessories! If it's listed in RED, sorry, it's already sold out! I will update as often as possible. Even though it says at the top, updated every 5 minutes, that is not the case! That must be a Google default that I don't know how to change!

The wheels have been added at the bottom of the list, under the write me memory cd.

If there is something on this list you NEED, CONTACT ME ASAP!!! Quantities are limited!

Edited to add: The items on the above list with an * next to them, are discounted on the Inventory Blowout special. See previous post here.

Back to Reality!

That's what my family will be thinking in the morning! The boys go back to school, and hubby back to work. He's been home as long as they have! I worked a few days, but not too many either with my regular days off and my boss gave me last Friday off. My plan is to get myself up and round in good time so I can get lots of stamping in! Wish me luck-getting up, & creating! I have new checkbooks & a calendar to stamp for starters, I need to update my purse & travel cup, & then a list of other projects! I need to get back in the swing of something! Time off is good, but I can honestly say I am ready for something else!

Tonight I have my November club projects to share. The first was a variation of the You card from the last post. I used most of my coordinating flowers on the swap cards, so had to change up the colors for the club cards. I did different stamps too as I knew this would be more useful for the club ladies then the other.

The card base is Chocolate Chip and it's cut with the large scallop die for the Big Shot. The Upsy Daisy flowers were stamped in Chocolate Chip on the Urban Garden DSP scallop. We punched the key tag in Kiwi Kiss after stamping the sentiment with Chocolate Chip. Flowers in coordinating colors were added with a rhinestone brad. Kiwi Kiss striped grosgrain tied around the top.

Next is this card, which I cased from page 10 in the current catalog. My hostess had requested the use of the Urban Garden DSP.

I really like how this came out! We embossed the Coneflowers with White EP on the Baha print piece of DSP. The card base is Baha Breeze textured cardstock, with a strip of Kiwi Kiss & Not Quite Navy textured cardstock. We used the Key Tag punch for the saying, stretching it by punching one side at at time. Lastly we added Not quite Navy brads to the corners of the Baha image, Old Olive ones to the saying & a knotted piece of Kiwi Kiss at the top. Pretty cool!

The last club project was ornaments from the Country Living Kit. I will try and get a picture of some of the ones I completed to post this week.

Speaking of clubs, I am looking to start more! Contact me if you are in SouthEast Nebraska and are interested! 6 months, $25/month. 3 GREAT projects each month, and hostess benefits one month. I generally like to follow the catalog cycle so all members have the SAME benefits. Hope to hear from YOU!!!
