Balloon Birthday

Finally, the last card Sharon had for us at club! Isn't this fun!! This is an idea I hadn't seen before and I love it!!

The card base is Elegant Eggplant with a Not Quite Navy layer that was embossed with the Framed Tulips folder. Inset in that is another Elegant Eggplant layer under a Whisper White layer. On the Whisper White we made clouds. How fun!! We punched the cupcake top using the Build a Cupcake Punch. We put it down and sponged around it with Baja Breeze ink. We stamped the basket of the balloon, from the Sweet Centers set, in Not Quite Navy. This is one of the sets designed to use with the Sweet Treat Cups. This is a fun, easy way to use the set without those though! For the balloon, we punched 4 circles from Rose Red DSP, folded them in half, and put them together side by side, like you've seen me do before with the Ornament Punch. The very left and very right sides of the balloon are attached to the cloud background. We used the Happy Birthday again for the greeting on the Word Window and Modern Label punches. Fun Fun!!

Jen, I love this~~and all the other recent cards you have posted!!! This is great, and is something NEW to me, too! I'll have to try it sometime! I made the grandsons' birthday cards like the "folded back center" one that is posted. They loved it, and they turned out cute! Great techniques. Thanks for sharing! :D
