I've been a member of SUDSOL almost as long as I've been a demonstrator. I do not have a local upline so SUDSOL has always been my source of inspiration. Information is shared very promptly, and questions asked are always answered!! And the best part-TONS of GREAT ideas are shared every day!! And the Gallery holds them all!!

OK, to the good stuff! You will find detailed product information below the links if you need to see specific products and item numbers. Also, you can click the pictures to enlarge the card to see the detail more clearly.

First up is this wedding card using Love & Laughter.

Blushing Bride, Basic Gray & Shimmery White. The background print is from the Twitterpated DSP in the Occasions Mini. I layered it and the Basic Gray accent layer together, then put it through the Big Shot with the Adorning Accents Edgelit, cutting them both together. Then, I embossed it with the Adorning Accents matching folder. The dress in the center was stamped in Blushing Bride on Shimmery White and cut out. I added Blushing Bride Pleated Satin ribbon at the bottom edge and a Blushing Bride flower button at the hip. The rectangle I was layering the dress onto what just a tad too big, so guess what: Adoring Accents Edgelit to the rescue. I cut all three layers at the same time with just a little bit of a fuzzy edge that a sanding block took care of. The dress is attached with dimensionals and the whole element is attached to the background with dimensionals.

Next up is these Cherry Flowers.

I'm loving these big, bold flowers from Mixed Bunch!! While thinking through colors that might work for these, I remembered the new Dazzling Details in Cherry Cobbler and knew I had to try it. I pulled out the outline flower and stamped it 3 times in Cherry Cobbler. After punching with the matching Blossom punch, I added the Dazzling Details to the center and the lines through the petals. Let it dry while you do the rest of the card. Anyone know what I made the "pot" from?? ....

The center of the Scallop Oval Bigz die. I've done something similar in the past with oval punches and had a feeling this was going to be the right scale for these flowers. Yep-works perfect!! I cut each end off with the paper cutter to give it the pot shape. The card base is Cherry Cobbler, with a Basic Gray accent layer behind a Whisper White background. I'm really liking Basic Gray right now!! It's the perfect accent color with so many colors!! The 'Happiness' is from the new set in the Occasions Mini, Loving Thoughts. I stamped it in Basic Gray then added a Whisper White grosgrain ribbon around the pot. The flowers once dry were attached to the card with dimensionals. Very sparkly and pretty in real life!!

Next, this birthday card using the lovely roses from Apothecary Art.

This card started while preparing for Club a few weeks back. I wanted to use this new set, but I decided the coloring was too stressful for a group setting. It's fine at home just me and the stamp table though, so I finished it for the tour. The Rose label image was stamped with Basic Gray and then colored with Regal Rose, Blushing Bride & Old Olive. I did the roses with a mix of Blushing Bride and Regal Rose markers. The leaf images were done with a blender pen and Old Olive Classic ink. I never much like my coloring, but from a distance it looks OK :) The Apothecary Art set coordinates with the new Labels Framelits Dies so I cut the image out after coloring with the closest size die. You can see it leaves a little edge around the stamp image. As for layering, the next size die is a little more larger than I'd like, so I did something cool someone on SUDSOL shared the other day. Remember how we layer the Decorative Label? Yep, cut two more of the same size. Cut one in half vertically, the other horizontally and layer to the back of the colored panel. It gives you a few more bumps on the outside edge, but it works for me. Thanks SUDSOL for the great idea!! I think it was Robin Messenheimer who shared it!!

Lastly, this bright and cheery card using FREE goodies from the Sale-A-Bration catalog.

I used the items from the Hostess bundle: the Fresh Vintage stamp set, the Everyday Enchantment DSP and the Everyday Enchantment Ribbon & Brad Pack. Hostesses earn this with a $400 workshop. Customers can earn each item separately with a $50 purchase. The card base is Poppy Parade with a Baja Breeze accent layer behind the DSP print background. The flower image from the stamp set was stamped three times on a Whisper White strip, two in Poppy Parade and one in Baja Breeze. To the center of each flower I added a brad from the Brad pack. Two are Lucky Limeade, one Poppy Parade. On the edge of the Whisper White strip I added some of the Lucky Limeade ribbon from the Ribbon Pack. I find this ribbon a little tricky to tie nicely, so I don't. I wrapped it several time around and secured to the back of the whisper white. Then, I knotted two smaller pieced around the front and trim. Give yourself plenty of ribbon to work with! Small pieces just frustrate you!!

OK, that's it for me!! Thanks for stopping by today!! Continue on the tour by using the links below!! I hope you'll stop back and see me again soon!! Don't forget the Two Week FREE trial!!

Mixed Bunch Royalty Sunshine

Took a little time to play tonight after spending most of the day doing paperwork I've neglected during the year. Oops :) Stampin' Royalty has a picture inspiration challenge this week, and this idea has been running around in my head for a few days.

Here is the challenge picture

and my creation. I knew the minute I saw the picture I was doing something with the Mixed Bunch Flowers. Great new set!!

The colors are Marina Mist and Daffodil Delight. Think I'm ready for Spring-too much blah outside right now!! Card base is Marina Mist with a Daffodil Delight accent layer behind the background Daffodil Delight DSP dot print. I stamped two of the bold flowers in Daffodil, and two in Marina Mist and punched with the Blossom Punch. Same with the centers but punched with the 1" circle punch. Then I pulled out buttons (from the Subtles & Brights sets) in the same colors and added White Bakers Twine to the center of each. The saying is from Pursuit of Happiness and was stamped in Marina Mist on the Daffodil DSP. The flowers were all attached with dimensional, the Marina ones first, then the Daffodil ones. Love it-Bright and Cherry!!

Sketch Frenzy Friday 012712

Happy Friday all! Hope you have a great weekend on tap!! For us, there is nothing major on the agenda and I hope to spend plenty of time in the stamp room just for fun!!

As you know, Friday means another Sketch Frenzy Friday and mini tour. Here is my creation of the week

based on this sketch by Angela Walters.

And, I must say, when I first pulled this up today I wasn't excited about it!! LOL!! But, I love what I came up with and now think it's a GREAT sketch!!

I had the stamp and hearts of a different color still on my stamp table from the weekend. I decided hearts from the new embosslit would work for the circles. Card base is Soft Suede with an Early Espresso accent layer behind the Riding Hood Red background. I started by stamping the saying bottom right in Early Espresso. Then, I ran the Riding Hood Red through the Big Shot with the new Hearts folder from the Adorning Accents set. Then, I cut several sets of hearts with the Fashionable Hearts Embosslit. One from Early Espresso, Soft Suede, Crumb Cake, Riding Hood Red & two from Naturals Ivory. I added hearts and shifted them around until I liked the look. Done-clean and simple!!

Inspired CCMCOCC1

Evening all! Don't fall off your chair but I made a card tonight just for fun!! Not a "have to" stamped one!! Feels good to be back on the creative train!! I've joined the Create with Connie & Mary Occasions Edition so I decided to play with their first weekly challenge. Here is my creation

based on this sketch

I started out thinking hearts and ended up nowhere near that!! I did my Sketch Frenzy card before this one and it is hearts, but that didn't work out for this one. Card base is Early Espresso with a Calypso Coral DSP print for the background. This DSP is the FREE pack you can earn during SAB!! Across the background is a Calypso Coral strip of card stock that was punched with the Lace Ribbon border punch, and a strip of Early Espresso grosgrain ribbon. On the rounded rectangle (?? not sure what to call it) I stamped the flower from Inspired by Nature. It was inked with Calypso Coral, Lucky Limeade & Early Espresso using sponge daubers. At the bottom is a Scallop Trim Border in Calypso Coral. I added a butterfly near the top, cut with the Beautiful Wings embosslit, also from Calypso Coral. Pearls for the butterfly "body" are the final accent. The saying, from Inspired by Nature, was stamped near the bottom in Early Espresso.

Thanks for stopping by!!

Daffodil Mixed Bunch

Card three from the weekend. A very last minute creation and a quick and easy WOW card!!

Concord Crush and Daffodil Delight-love it!! I'm starting to miss Concord Crush already-it's days are numbered :(

Card base is Concord Crush with an accent layer of Daffodil Delight behind a Whisper White background. On that background we stamped the 'thinking if you' from Curly Cute bottom center in Concord Crush. We stamped 3 bold flowers from Mixed Bunch in Daffodil Delight, and 3 centers in Concord Crush. The flowers were punched with the coordinating Blossom punch, and the centers with the 1" circle punch. The centers were attached to the flowers and the flowers to the background with dimensionals. The center flower is set above the two outside ones, and has a yellow brad (Fire Circle set) in the center for extra accent.

Be My Valentine!

Card two from Club last weekend. When I was stumped for ideas, I was looking through different cards on the Internet. I came across this one (the first one in her post) by my friend Deb Currier and inspiration struck!! Thanks Deb!! I don't generally like to straight up copy, I prefer to tweak them somehow to make it more mine. Here is what I came up with.

Same basic layout. My card base is Basic Gray with Melon Mambo and Rich Razzleberry accent layers behind the Whisper White background. Across the center of the white I embossed the hearts from the Adorning Accents Folders set. At the bottom we stamped "Be My Valentine" from the Delightful Dozen set in Basic Gray. I cut two sets of hearts with the new Fashionable Hearts Embosslit, one in Melon Mambo and one in Rich Razzleberry. We used one of each heart in a mix of the two colors. One heart fits perfectly over the heart on the stamp, the others were attached with glue dots above.

Baja Congratulations!

Club card one from the weekend. The one that almost did me in!! I survived, and the end result was very well received!

Isn't this just beautiful?? Love this new set-Love & Laughter in the Occasions Mini Catalog. My struggle was with the cut and embossed image at the bottom of the card. We have some new products for the Big Shot (yeah!!) but I was having trouble. Granted, it was very last minute and I wasn't very patient!! So, I will be doing some research and playing more with them to get them figured out!! The girls actually just had the embossed image on theirs and it looked just fine.

The new items are Edgelits Dies (see that scallop cut on the bottom of the card front?) and Adorning Accents Embossing Folders (the embossed scallops). The Adorning Accents are not full size folders like we've had before, only about 2" wide. There are 3 images. My scallop die worked just fine on the two samples I did, but it wouldn't work at all well when I tried to cut them for the girls.

Card base is Baja Breeze. Congratulations was stamped in Basic Black above the Embossed Scallop. For the dress, we stamped the image in Baja Breeze on Shimmery White CS and cut it out. We attached a Baja Breeze Pleated Satin ribbon at the bottom edge and a Designer button to the dress. The dress is attached with dimensionals to another rectangle of Shimmery White CS. That is layered onto Baja Breeze and Basic Black and attached to the card base with dimensionals. Pretty quick and easy!!

I will do more later with the Edgelits once I have them perfected. Let me give you a tip though for using the Accents folders. Well this scallop one anyway. Use some temporary adhesive (Dotto) to hold your cardstock to the folder. They want to move around VERY easily!!

Let me know if you have any questions!!

Don't forget: Sale-A-Bration starts today! FREE goodies with EACH $50 purchase!! Contact me if you need more details!!

Sketch Frenzy Friday 012012

Happy Friday all! Hope you've had a good week. I'm looking forward to a weekend full of stamping! Club with the Girls on Sunday-YEAH!!

As you know, Friday means another Sketch Frenzy Friday challenge and tour. Here is my card

based on this sketch by Tina Munzke.

Colors are Lucky Limeade, Pool Party and Calypso Coral. I used the same DSP pack as last week, the SAB FREE item, the Everyday Enchantment pack. Love it!! Card base is Lucky Limeade with a Calypso Coral accent layer behind the striped DSP. The Scallop Circle was cut from another print and attached on the side. The flower is from the new set in the Occasions Mini, Mixed Bunch. Another matching punch-yeah!! I stamped the flower in Calypso Coral on Whisper White and punch it out. I punched a second from Calypso Coral and layered behind. In the center is a Pool Party brad from the In Color brad set. The leaves are Lucky Limeade punched with the Large Oval punch. the flower is attached to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals. I knotted a Lucky Limeade ribbon around the bottom, actually it's a cheater bow! The strip is attached around the card front, and a small piece was knotted over that. The saying is from Friendly Phrases and was stamped in Basic Black.

Sketch Frenzy Friday 011312

Happy Friday again all! Hope you've had a good week and have plans for the weekend!! Friday means another Sketch Frenzy Friday challenge and mini tour. Here is my card

based on this sketch by Tammy Fite.

Great sketch isn't it?? The possibilities are endless!! My card base is Soft Suede with an accent layer of Calypso Coral behind a DSP print in Calypso Coral. The DSP is from the Everyday Enchantment pack and is one of the items you can earn FREE during Sale-A-Bration (starting the 24th!!). The "flower" stamp I used is also from a SAB set, Fresh Vintage. And as you may have guessed by now, the ribbon and brads are also from a SAB choice: an Everyday Enchantment Ribbon and Brad pack. 5 different brads, two colors of ribbon. This is Calypso Coral, the other is Lucky Limeade. Aren't new things fun?? The "Happiness" is from the new word set, Loving Thoughts in the Occasions Mini.

Thanks for stopping by today! Continue on our tour by clicking HERE to see what Kim has created this week.

Sketch Frenzy Friday 010612

Happy Friday all! Here I'm hoping for a better day than Thursday! It's just been one of THOSE days!!

Anyway, as you know Friday means another Sketch Frenzy Friday sketch challenge and mini hop! Here is my card

Not an overly complex creation, but the best that my brain could handle after the day I've had :) It is based on this sketch by Tammy Baldwin.

My card base is Basic Gray with an accent layer of Blushing Bride behind a DSP background in Blushing Bride. The DSP is from the NEW Twitterpated pack in the Occasions Mini Catalog. The main image is also new in the Occasions Mini, a set called Apothecary Art. And, we have new FRAMELITS in this shape-woohoo!! I tried them for the first time tonight and they are very easy to use! I first stamped the image in Basic Gray on Very Vanilla and colored as desired with Blushing Bride & Baha Breeze markers. Then, I cut the  image with the smallest Labels Framelit. I cut a second framelit, the next size up, of Blushing Bride and layered them together. I accented with Pearls. The ribbon is 3/8" Pleated Satin Ribbon in Baja Breeze, also new to the Occasions Mini.

Thanks for stopping by today! Continue on our tour by clicking HERE to see what Kim has created this week! or click HERE to go back to the main SFF blog. Have a great weekend all!!
