Triple Foliage Inspiration

I needed to be creative tonight, so I found a few challenges to play along with! First, the Inspiration challenge over at Hand Stamped Sentiments. Fall HSSIC141. I always think leaves when I think fall, and ever since I saw the Triple Time Technique I've wanted to try texturing it. Love textured leaves, so here we go!!

I of course reached for French Foliage. I did consider Wonderfall, but French Foliage won out. Just love how well these leaves go together! The yellow in the inspiration photo really stood out to me, so I looked through my Color Coach until I found something fall-ish involving a yellow. The colors I chose: More Mustard, Old Olive and Bravo Burgundy. I ended up with more green than yellow, but I like the end result!!

Remember, the layers sizes are as follows:

Old Olive
4-1/4 x 5-1/2 (8-1/2 x 5-1/2 folded)
3-1/4 x 4-1/2
2-1/4 x 3-1/2

Very Vanilla
4 x 5-1/4
3 x 4-1/4
2 x 3-1/4

As per the technique, I attached (gently) my Very Vanilla layers together and then stamped them. I did the verse first in Burgundy, then leaves in More Mustard, Old Olive and Bravo Burgundy. I added a few splatters too (can't resist those!!) in Crumb Cake. While still attached together, I ran all the Very Vanilla layers through the Square Lattice embossing folder. Then I took them apart and layered onto their respective Old Olive Layer. Around the smallest, I knotted a More Mustard 1/2" Scallop Dots ribbon.

Thanks for stopping by! I have another card made, but I'm going to "sleep on it" before posting. Want to make sure I like it first :) See you tomorrow!!
