Sorrow

More stamping time, but for reasons I'd rather not. Sympathy cards. Not my favorite! This one is for a friend lost WAY too young  & way too sudden.

I happened on this technique and a very similar card on Pinterest the other day. Perfect for some of the 'Nature' stamps we have, including World of Dreams. The card I saw is featured on this post from Too Cool Stamping. Love it and can't wait to try other colors and stamps!

Here is my card, with similar colors and stamps. Perfect for a masculine Sympathy card.

This technique is called Painters Tape and it's exactly what it sounds like. Take a piece of Painters Tape ( or any 'removable' tape) and press onto an ink pad. Remove from pad, and press across card stock. My edges are a little "too clean" but this was my first try. I now know to go a little shorter with the tape and a little less perfect :)  Colors are Soft Sky, Sahara Sand & Lost Lagoon. Card base is Lost Lagoon, Basic Black accent layer, Very Vanilla background. Flower image from World of Dreams and saying from Thoughts and Prayers stamped in Memento Black. Accent, Silver Metallic button with Linen Thread knotted in center.

Thank you for stopping by! Back soon, sadly, with another sympathy card.
