Waterfall Card!

Sorry to my workshop attendees that it's taken me this long to get this posted! And as usual, I apologize for the delay between postings! Unfortunately this will be it for at least a week, maybe two or three! Empty nest life for us has NOT been slow!!

At the request of the hostess of the recent workshop I did, we made a Waterfall Card. 99% certain I've never done one before in all these years of stamping!! Not all that hard either, and a very cool result!!

Here is the finished product

and this is what happens when you pull on that ribbon/tag end:

 one
 two

three!

The saying is on the last tab and shows when you've pulled the others down. I had to laugh. Just about every attendee at the workshop, after they got it together and tested it, said "wow, it works!"

OK, here is what you need to make this card:

Stamp set and inks (stamp to fit on 1-7/8" square)
Base cardstock 8-1/2 x 5-1/2 (fold to 4-1/4 x 5-1/2)
Background cardstock 5-1/4 x 4
Panels: 4 Neutral cardstock 1-7/8 x 1-7/8
             4 Colors (assorted as you desire) 2 x 2
Slider Strip 9x2; scored at 2, 2-3/4, 3-1/2 and 4-1/4
Holder Strip 3/4 x 4
Other items: Sticky Strip, brads, Snail Adhesive, Simply Scored (or Paper Cutter with Scoring blade)

The process!
1) Stamp the Background and Neutral panels as desired
2) Attach the Neutral panels each to a Colored panel, and the Background to the Base
3) Attach the Holder strip to the Background JUST at the outside edges. NO ADHESIVE in the center of this strip!!!
4) Add Brads at the outside edge of the holder strip **My brads went through the strip, background and base layer of the card. If you don't want that, before you attach the background to the base, attach your holder strip and put the brads in as desired. Smash them flat before attaching the background with strip to the card base.
5) Score the Slider Strip as directed and fold well on all the score lines.
6) On the Slider Strip, punch the "long" end with the Tag Punch. This will be the piece you pull to make the other pieces "waterfall"
7) On the other end of the Slider Strip, add Sticky Strip and attach to the Holder Strip, lining up the edges.
8) Attach the Panels to the Slider Strip. Put adhesive ONLY on the stops of the panels and attach at the score lines of the Slider Strip.

This card uses the Watercolor Words set in the current annual catalog. Colors are most of the 2014-2016 In Colors, Blackberry Bliss, Hello Honey, Lost Lagoon and Mossy Meadow.

Please contact me if you have questions about this card! I think if you sit down and make one, it will all make sense! Fun, fun!!

Have a great week all, thanks for stopping by!

Workshop Painter's Tape Sympathy

I showed you the Painter's Tape card a while back, but figured it would be something different for the workshop I did last weekend. And it was a good choice as nobody in attendance had seen it before. I gave them a choice of stamp set and accessory.

Colors on both are Cajun Craze, Delightful Dijon and Crumb Cake. Very Vanilla background, Early Espresso stamping.  The top card used the World of Dreams set and a Very Vintage Designer Button with Linen Thread tied through. The lower card used the Serene Silhouettes set and a Silver Metal Button with Linen Thread. Mini Glue Dots are perfect for attaching the button, and SNAIL Adhesive for the card layers.

Quick and easy, and image the color combinations possible! And for many occasions. Several of the workshop guests borrowed a Happy Birthday stamp from my hostess for this one!

Thanks for stopping by today! Product details below.

Sheltering Tree Sympathy

Sorry once again for the lack of posts! Seems I've been more gone than home lately, and when I'm home I crash!! I am doing a workshop today though, so watch for those cards coming this week! Here is a sympathy card created recently for a friend. Love this set and want to play more with it!

Sheltering Tree is the set. It is one of the Photopolymer stamp sets in the current catalog. Colors are Rich Razzleberry, Hello Honey and Pear Pizzazz. I first stamped the trunk of the tree in Early Espresso. Next I did the leaves in three colors. Razzleberry first, then Hello Honey and Pear Pizzazz. Clean well between colors and rotate the leaves just a touch so the leaves aren't directly over the previous color. The ground is also Pear Pizzazz. The saying is from Teeny Tiny Wishes.

Have a great Sunday all! Product details are below. Let me know if you have any questions! Thanks for stopping by today!
