Heartfelt Triple Time

This was my first card for the workshop last weekend. The hostess requested the set Heartfelt Blooms and when I sat down to play, Triple Time was what popped into my head. Here are three versions

Why 3? To show you how much difference a slight variation can make! Remember that Triple Time means stamping all 3 Whisper White layers at once. The sizes of those are 5-1/4 x 4, 4-1/4 x 3 and 3-1/4 x 2. Center them with just a touch of adhesive to hold. Then stamp with all three layers together. I stamped the flower image four different times, starting top left. The middle one was left much more open with more white space while the other two are much closer. The top one uses the Happy Birthday from Stylized Birthday. The other sayings are from Heartfelt Blooms. Bermuda Bay is the color of ink and cardstock. Ribbon on the bottom two is also Bermuda Bay from the FREE Shimmer Ribbon Pack.

Heartfelt Blooms is a FREE Sale-A-Bration set and it is NOT to late to get it! Or the ribbon, or many other great FREE products!! Product details and store links below! Contact me with any questions!

You're Inspiring

Love this set, and its perfect for Easter cards! Not something I usually get done, but I'm mailing this one tomorrow to an Aunt. And yes, I know Daffodils are NOT purple. But, they should be!! :) I bleed purple and my K-State Wildcats just had an amazing run through March Madness, so purple is on my brain right now!! Missing the family gathering this weekend, so this is my way of reaching out!

Card base of Elegant Eggplant, accent layer of Garden Green. Background of Shimmery White is stamped in Archival Basic Black and colored with markers and blender pens with wink in Elegant Eggplant, Garden Green and Smoky Slate with a shadow effect. The set is You're Inspiring and includes the "Happy Easter" saying. Ribbon is Garden Green Satin Stitched.

Amazing Contratulations!

For my workshop today, I had to think pretty hard about the 2nd card! The first was a request of the hostess so that was fairly easy. The 2nd was going to be using the Stampin' Blends, but unfortunately due to supply issues they are currently unavailable. So, hmm. I flipped through the Occasions Catalog and finally settled on this new set, Amazing Congratulations. It happened to be hanging out on the floor of my stamp room, right next to this fun Tinsel Trim that I knew would go perfect with the Springtime Foils DSP. Perfect! Here is the card

Card base is Rich Razzleberry, accent layer of Sweet Sugarplum. Background of the Rose Foil dots DSP. The Congratulations image is made up of three different stamps. The outline is stamped in the lightest ink, Powder Pink. Next, the more solid image is in Rich Razzleberry. The last image is in Sweet Sugarplum. Blends and goes together perfectly!

Quick and easy, and so many uses for a card like this! Many other possible color options too! The set also has small sayings in it to for even more card occasions!

You've Got This CTD485

Browsing around last night for inspiration before my Wildcats played basketball and found this color challenge at Color Throwdown. Oh, and that would be Kansas State Wildcats in case you had any doubt!  Great job team!!

Here is my card

 and the challenge inspiration

The swatch looks a little pink to me, but the notes said Peach, Black and White. In my world that equates to Peekaboo Peach, Basic Black and White. The "You've Got This" set permanently hangs out near my desk and it was perfect for this. Cards don't get easier than this! I stamped the background image in Peekaboo Peach, the flower and saying in Basic Black on Shimmery White Cardstock. Knotted a black Shimmer ribbon around and layered on to Basic Black and a card base of Peekaboo Peach.  I added just a "wink of Stella" in the center of the flower.

Thanks for stopping by! I haven't been quite as on with the stamping this week but I'm still around. I have a workshop Sunday so my focus has been there with many details and projects to get together. And it is still tax season so my day job is crazy busy and our personal taxes aren't done yet either! Close though!

I will be back soon, but maybe not until after Sunday! There is another basketball game tomorrow evening that I'll be sweating through!

Remarkable You CTD#484

More playing with the watercolor spritz technique! This one inspired by the color challenge this week at The Color Throwdown. Purple is my thing, so I had to give it a whirl! Here is my card

 and their challenge graphic.

I started with a piece of Shimmery White cardstock and stamped the scribble image from Sunshine Sayings. Once in full strength Elegant Eggplant, once stamped off once Elegant Eggplant and once Emerald Envy. I then sat it off to the side on a scratch piece of paper and sprayed it with my water mister bottle.

After it dried, I came back and stamped the leaf image from Remarkable You in Basic Gray over the color. At the bottom I added "just for you" from Work of Art also in Basic Gray. The ribbon is the FREE Sale-A-Bration item Shimmer Ribbon Pack, 1/4" Basic Gray. The background was mounted onto Emerald Envy, and then onto a card base of Elegant Eggplant after the ribbon was knotted. Lastly, I picked up my Wink of Stella pen again and went over the image. It honestly came out much darker than I wanted. Part because I squeezed too hard and got a big glob of glitter, maybe also part because the colors underneath are so dark. All in all though, it doesn't look terrible! Lesson learned. Dark colors might be better with a solid image, and no Wink!

Thanks for stopping by again today! I have one more of these to share, hopefully tomorrow. Then I've got to crack down this weekend and get my workshop for next weekend in order. I'm well on the way but need to finalize the projects and get my catties and flyers in order! Shopping links an product details below!
