Watercolor Wings CTD#488

I spent some time yesterday going through my catalog with the retired list. I did great with the Occasions Catalog, and pretty good with the regular catalog, but there are a few sets I was sad to see on the list. This creation uses one of those - Watercolor Wings! I must say I haven't used it all that much, but it is very fun to put together butterflies with different colors! Here is my creation

Colors chosen the The Color Throwdown challenge of the week. Yellow, Green and Aqua in my world equates to Daffodil Delight, Wild Wasabi and Pool Party.

Card base is Wild Wasabi, accent layer of Daffodil Delight with a Whisper White background. The butterflies were stamped on a separate piece of Whisper White. I figured if I used the base of the butterfly as yellow, the other two colors would blend to a degree. Wild Wasabi held its own better than Pool Party-it became fairly green! To get more Pool Party showing, I decided to use it in the background and ribbon. The dots in the background are from the same set. I stacked rows of dots, then added a few scattered larger ones in Daffodil and Wasabi. The butterflies were cut with the Bold Butterfly Framelit. I stamped the body after cutting, then curled the wings a bit over a pen to make them stand out. Attached with Mini Dimensionals. The ribbon is Pool Party Shimmer Ribbon. Just for you at the bottom in Basic Black.

Thanks for stopping by today! Going to try and be back soon, and use more retired sets!! Contact me if any questions!! Product details and shopping links below!
