Hello!

Wow, has this month flown by! Not much stamping time to be found for me. I had a stamp club meeting last night though, so I had to come up with something! Lee always laughs when I say "I have to stamp". Sometimes, it really works out that way though!!! I couldn't find time all week, but by Wednesday night, I had to!!!

Here are the cards I came up with. We started with this one, because I knew it would be tough. I've learned over the years NOT to save tough for last.

I had purchased the bulk Sticky Cut letters so I wanted to let my club ladies try them. Honestly, they are a little frustrating to work with as they are SOOOOO sticky, but the end result is worth it!!! Everyone loved it in the end. Only problem was I inadvertently used the glitter from the upcoming Occasions Mini and we were closing this for February, but there's always next month's order! Color is Bashful Blue. Background is stamped with the Pretty Petals background in Bashful Blue on Whisper White. BTW, this card opens the long way also, not the normal way. Corners were punched with the Ticket Corner punch and the edge was sponged with Bashful Blue. We used the 1-1/4 square punch near the bottom of the white layer, and stamped thru the "Happy Hellos" saying from the SAB set Lots of Thoughts. The ribbon is the Bashful Blue Striped Grosgrain.

This glitter is awesome! It is called Chunky Sprinkles and comes in a set of 4: Celery, Crystal, Light Blue & Light Pink. I can't wait to try more!!! We also have Chunky Essentials in the Idea Book which includes Red, White, Silver & Black. Oooohhh, think of the possibilities!!!

Next, we used the So Many Scallops SAB set to make this card. First, we stamped the "sweet of you" scallop image in Apricot Appeal on Apricot Appeal, and again in Tempting Turquoise on Tempting Turquoise. We then punched those with the Scallop Punch. The stem from Stem Sayings is stamped in Certainly Celery on Whisper White. The leaves were punched using the 5-Petal flower punch. I punched a flower from Certainly Celery Prints DP. Then I held one of the petals back into the punch and punched when it resembled a leaf. The scallop flowers were adhered to the card with a dimensional; the buttons (from the Fresh Favorites I set) with a Mini Glue Dots. Edges of the Whisper White layer were sponged with Certainly Celery. A Celery grosgrain ribbon was tied around the Whisper White layer before layering onto Apricot Appeal and then Certainly Celery.

Have a good weekend all!!! Rember that the Occasions Mini starts tomorrow, 3/1 AND that Sale-A-Bration continues thru March 17. The FREE stamps are great!!

Occasions Mini Swap

Finally! I am getting this swap done, and posted! So far I'm not doing well this month-with much of anything!!!

This is the card I came up with, using the new set For Father from the upcoming Occasions Mini catalog. Great set for all DAD cards!!! Card base is Chocolate Chip, layer is More Mustard. Background is Naturals White CS stamped twice with the Sanded background-once in Creamy Caramel, reversed in More Mustard. Puppy image was stamped in Basic Brown on Naturals Ivory and colored with Watercolor Crayons using a Blender Pen. Check out the new Poly-Twill ribbon in Chocolate Chip-very cool!!! Photo corners were punched from the Afternoon Tea Designer Series Paper. I applied them with mono, matching up to outside layer corners. A More Mustard brad was added to the center of the corner.

I also need to give a shout out to my new downline-Welcome Lisa!!! I'm so glad you joined up with me!!! Best of luck with your new business venture!!!

Back to stampin for me!

Spread the Love

Etha awarded me this honor last week, and I forgot to share it here! Thanks Etha for your kind words!!! Make sure you stop by her blog More Green Wool and see what she's been up to!
I'm supposed to share the Love by awarding this to 3 other bloggers. There are many that I check in on frequently, but I will choose 3 of my favorites:

1) Ali @ Stampin' When I Can. She not only shares her creations, but EVERYTHING else noteworthy that's going on in blogland!!

2) Beate @ Fresh & Fun. The first one I check each day, she always has awesome creations and great card sketches too!

3) Dawn @ Dawn's Stamping Thoughts. Great creations & Fun things always going on!!

Happy Sunday all!

ETA: Both Beate & Dawn have a project going where they collect cards and send to troops over seas, both of their husbands are deployed. If you can help them out stop by their blog for details!!!

Bloomin' Beautiful

Sorry for the lack of posts lately! Last week was very interesting! Hubby was traveling on business, and we had a whopper snow storm Tuesday. I usually plead ignorance when it comes to running our 4-wheeler, but I had to figure it out Wednesday morning to push some snow. Most of the snow blew around and didn't settle too much, but we had some good drifts on the driveway between the house and barn. The boys managed to help me get it started, but I did have to call and see how to put it in reverse!!! he he. They don't make that easy! It wasn't the prettiest plow job, but it worked. And most is melted by now anyway.

OK, on to stamping: here's a sneak peak from the upcoming Occasions Mini catalog (March 1-May 31 2008). I made this last night at a stamp club. I was pretty brain dead at that point from the week to date. I think this could be better, but it's a start!

The set is Bloomin' Beautiful. Card base is Pale Plum CS, stamped randomly with a long stem flower image in both Pale Plum & Perfect Plum classic ink. "bloom" is across the bottom in Basic Black. The main image is stamped on Naturals Ivory CS with Basic Black ink and colored with Metallic Pencils. I do prefer the image to be embossed when I color with these, but didn't have EP with me. The ribbon is the NEW Poly-Twill in Old Olive. We will have both the Olive and Chocolate Chip! Fun Fun!!

Hopefully I'll be stamping a little more this week than the last few. I have a swap to figure out, so there will at least be that! Wish me luck-both in finding time to stamp, and with life in general-I'm now Mom to a teenage boy as my oldest turned 13 today. He's really a great kid but we've already experienced some new "attitude". He's upstairs though now, happily playing his new guitar!!
