Club Secret Garden

Card 3 from last weekend! I liked them all, but this one was really fun!! This is a great color combo too!!

Island Indigo, Lucky Limeade and Daffodil Delight! The card base is Island Indigo with a background of Daffodil Delight Polka Dot Parade DSP. Over that is a Whisper White layer, cut 1/8" smaller so that the Daffodil shows around the edge. Through the Whisper White I cut a flower using the Secret Garden framelit. I used the largest one and cut it near the right center edge. We first stamped the "thank you" at the very bottom left in Indigo. Then we stamped around the cut flower and the rest of the background using the leaf in Lucky Limeade, the rounded bold flower in Island Indigo, and the smaller rounded outline flower in Daffodil Delight. On a separate Whisper White we stamped the same bold flower in Island Indigo and the other bold flower in Daffodil Delight and cut both out with their coordinating sizzlit. We attached the Indigo cutout flower inside the large cutout, over the DSP and the Daffodil one off to the left of that. Both were attached with dimensionals and we added a rhinestone to each for accent. A Lucky Limeade ribbon is the final accent, knotted just above the thank you and attached between the thank you and flower cutout.

Thanks for stopping by today!!

Club Spring Sampler

Card two from last weekend!! This was a fun one using the new Spring Sampler set!

The card base is Marina Mist with a Daffodil Delight accent layer behind the Whisper White background. The "happy easter" is from Delightful Dozen and was stamped in Marina Mist in the bottom right corner of the Whisper White. Above that is the new 3/8" Striped Organdy Ribbon in Marina Mist. The squares of color were punched with the Scallop Square from the Sunshine & Sprinkles DSP. The colors are Marina Mist, Daffodil Delight, Melon Mambo and Old Olive. The 4 images were stamped on Whisper White in the same 4 colors and punched with the 1-1/4" Scallop Circle Punch. The circles were attached to the squares, then the squares attached to the background with a dimensional.

Thanks for stopping by today!!

Sketch Frenzy Friday 022213

Happy Friday all! Hopefully we're dug out and off to work and school! As I'm typing this Thursday afternoon the storm really hasn't amounted to much for us yet, but I believe it is supposed to snow most of the night!

Friday means another round of Sketch Frenzy Friday!! Here is my creation

based on this sketch by Sharon Wheet.

I picked this great pattern background from the Print Poetry DSP stack after deciding a flower would work for the circle element in the sketch. Colors are Midnight Muse, Crumb Cake, Gumball Green and Very Vanilla. The flowers are from the Secret Garden set in the Mini, and were cut out with the coordinating framelit set. The center of the flowers is a Champagne Glimmer Brad. Flowers are attached with dimensionals.

Club Feeling Sentimental

Howdy all! Hope everyone is doing well and surviving the weather!! Supposed to snow all day here today, and into the night. Good moisture that we desperately need, but not always fun to deal with!! Have to make it to work tomorrow, so hopefully the wind doesn't blow too much!!

Here is the first card from Club last weekend, using the FREE Sale-A-Bration set Feeling Sentimental.

Since I haven't been stamping much lately, I was browsing though ideas on my Google Reader before I started creating. I kept seeing things done with this set, so figured I'd give it a whirl!! The Ferris Wheel is perfect for the oval framelits too! Colors, Soft Suede and Naturals Ivory. The DSP is Crumb cake in color and from the Poetry Print Stack in the Spring Mini. This is sized 4-1/2 by 6-1/2 and has great color variety and prints!! We used the stamp-a-ma-jig to center the Ferris Wheel. We pierced around the Soft Suede oval with the new Occasions Paper-Piercing Pack. We're getting quite the collection for Paper-Piercing aren't we?? Love how SU! coordinates everything together!! A Soft Suede Taffeta ribbon and Metallic Brads accent the card.

Thanks for stopping by today!! Back soon with more!!

Sketch Frenzy Friday 021513

Happy Friday all!! Hope you've had a good week with great plans for the weekend. I have to stamp so it has to be good, right??

Let me first start with an apology for last week, no post, no creation! Long week here! Our Internet service went down during the Super Bowl-and didn't come back! I talked to a tech on Monday and thought we had a "fix" figured out, but nope-didn't work! So, the first appointment we could get for service was Friday. Luckily I had lots of other things to keep me busy-like my oldest son turning 18 and a BIG robotics tournament. Tammy stepped in and did the SFF post, and I couldn't even find time to put up the sketch! So sorry! But, I'm back now with all new hardware so we should be good for quite a few more years!! We've had this service for 7-1/2 years or so and this was the first problem!!

OK, on to the reason you're here!! The weekly Sketch Frenzy Friday challenge! It was a challenge to me, but mostly because I'm out of practice!!

Here is my creation

based on this sketch by Robbie Rubala.

This could have been more creative, but it wasn't happening tonight!! I hope to get more into stamping very soon!! Club this weekend should help!!

Card base is Melon Mambo, with a Daffodil Delight accent layer behind a Whisper White background. I textured the Whisper White with the Cloudy Day Embossing Folder. On the left is a striped accent piece from the Sunshine & Sprinkles DSP pack. The pinwheel at the top is also from that pack of DSP. Really like that paper :)  Bottom right is the saying "Happy Day to You". That should cheer anyone up right?? Final accent, a Melon Mambo Striped Organdy ribbon.

Sketch Frenzy Friday 020113

Happy Friday all! Wow, another week gone already! Today is February-I'm sure not ready for that!! Hope you had a GREAT week!

Friday means another round of Sketch Frenzy Friday! Here is my creation

based on this sketch by Maria Vanderform

My card base is Pacific Point with a background of DSP from the Sunshine & Sprinkles pack in the Spring Mini. The top layer is Daffodil Delight that was textured with the Fancy Fan Folder. In the center I cut a flower from the Floral Framelits set. I attached  Melon Mambo ribbon at two of the sides. I cut the ends of each at an angle and used a ruler to try and line it up. I stamped a Pacific Point flower using the Mixed Bunch set and punched it with the coordinating Blossom Punch. In the center is the saying "here's to you" from Friendly Phrases. It was stamped in Melon Mambo on Very Vanilla and punched with the 1-1/4 Scallop Circle Punch. I sponged the edges of that with Daffodil Delight. In the center, over the "o" is a Daffodil Delight small flower button with Lucky Limeade Baker's Twine knotted in the center. The flower was attached to the background with dimensionals.
