Last Daisies!

For now anyway! They've been fun, and I hope inspiring to you all! Pull out the set and give some a whirl!! And, there is also a new Daisy set... Daisy Lane! with a NEW coordinating smaller size Daisy punch! I have it, give me time!!

OK, in order of creation! Blackberry Daisy.

Same layout and these were done with Stampin' Blends like the last one. Blackberry Bliss card base and colored Daisies. I generally do a wash over with the light, accent with dark, then back over with light to blend. Leaves are Old Olive, same technique. The ribbon is the Metallic-Edge Whisper White with Silver. You can see just a bit of smudging on the card from the ribbon. I'm pretty sure I let it dry, but guessing some of the ink that was on the metallic edge rubbed off. Basic Black accent layer, DSP (wood) accent layer, Whisper White where saying is. This is headed to a Cousin who has a Love of Purple like I do!

Next up, Mango Melody. I really like this color! Every time I use it I think WOW!! Remember, you can click the picture to enlarge it!

The photo doesn't do this one justice, it was much prettier in real life! Mango Melody card base and flowers that were colored with the Stampin' Blends. The ribbon is the retired Classic Weave in Whisper White that I colored with my dark Blend.  Gotta say, I can't recommend doing that with this ribbon. Really seemed to zap my dark Blend. It is more of a "cotton" type ribbon than some of the others I've done, I don't know if that is why. The color wasn't nice and even either but it was prettier in real life than the scan shows. Leaves are Granny Apple Green. Once all the pieces of this one were done and punched, I went over all of them with Stella. Love Stella (Wink of Stella Glitter Brush). It was very pretty!! So soft! I debated doing that several times with the others but didn't. Keep that it mind when creating!! This one is in the mail as well! Hopefully a nice surprise to the recipient!

Thanks for stopping by. Hope to be back somewhat soon, but it will likely be after the weekend. Stay cool all, I for one am still melting. So not a fan of this heat! Product details and shopping links below!

Daisy, Daisy...

Hey all. Sorry for the lapse this week. I'm melting here...it's soooo hot! Heat is not my favorite so I wine..oops that should be whine! Ha, actually..both!  But here are two more Daisy cards. You were dying to see right? :) I've really liked all of these so far!! Different colors and different ribbons.. completely different looks!! And the best part....they are all getting mailed!

So click back and see the last post and all the Yellow Daisies if you don't remember. This first card was done the same way, with a blender pen and ink pad.

Darker colors are a little less forgiving, and you must be gentle so as NOT to fuzz your cardstock. Lovely Lipstick, Night of Navy, Granny Apple Green. Same DSP wood background (or one from the same pack). Card base is Lovely Lipstick, accent layer of Night of Navy. Whisper White base with DSP on top. Night of Navy Gingham ribbon. Night of Navy centers, Granny Apple green leaves. Dimensionals and glue dots holding it all together!

And then, I decided to try something different. Same layout, but different coloring. Any guesses how I did this one??

This one started with the Ribbon. Calypso Coral satin. **LOVE** Sorry, not currently available. Blends were used on this one. I stamped with Tuxedo Memento. The flowers were done with Light Calypso Coral first, Dark Calypso accents added, then over again with Light. Not being super careful but not crazy outside the lines either. Leaves Old Olive, same as flowers: light first, dark accent, blend again with light. Card base is Calypso Coral, accent layer of Basic Black behind Whisper White with Wood DSP. Happy Birthday in Tuxedo Black. Flowers punched, centers in Black added.

Thank you for stopping by and sticking with me through all my NON posting phases! We'll see how this week goes..two more Daisy cards to share then nothing. The weekend isn't good...we'll just have to see how work, the heat and everything else goes! Hope to be back soon! As usual, shopping links and product details below!

More Dasies!!

I warned you there might be more and here is the first round! Yep, there are more than this! Love this layout :)

I didn't start out to make this a color comparison, but that is what I ended up with! Funny story. I sat down to make a Daisy birthday card, same layout as the Thank You cards I shared the other day. Grabbed what I thought was Daffodil Delight ink and went to work. I do remember thinking, man that ink is dark! But I kept going and didn't check anything! Walked away and came back the next day to make another. Go to put away the Daffodil pad... and it's already in the rack. I used Crushed Curry! Yikes. So I very carefully pulled off the bottom layer and remounted it on the proper color! I give you Crushed Curry Daisy's!

So, then of course I had to try Daffodil Delight because that is what I meant to use the first time!

And, lastly since I'm on a yellow progression, Pineapple Punch!

I like them all! The card bases are the coordinating color. Daisies were stamped with the chosen ink, then colored with a blender pen and ink from the stamp pad. Gently colored - remember too much will fuzz the card stock really quick! I had to relearn that after using blends so often! All have centers that were stamped Night of Navy and punched. Leaves on the Curry are Mossy Meadow. I stamped them and punched, then went over with the blender pen. No added ink, just blended what I stamped. On the Daffodil card, leaves are Old Olive. Pineapple, Granny Apple Green. All have a Wood Texture DSP background (retired) and Night of Navy Gingham ribbon (retired). Accent layer of Night of Navy and Happy Birthday stamped in Night of Navy. Flowers and leaves attached with Stampin' Dimensionals and Mini Dimensinals.

I've got these down pat and can make them pretty quickly! There are few more in the works, but my Monday was a Monday!! so it may be a few days before I get to the rest!! These are going in the mail to friends this month! Thanks for stopping by today! Shopping and product links below!
