Sunflower!

Howdy all! Look at what is coming with the July 1 Online Exclusives...a Sunflower Embossing Folder! First card yesterday and I'm excited to play more :)

Terrible picture, I need to work on taking better ones but hopefully you get the idea. The detail is fabulous. I used the folder to emboss on Crushed Curry. Then I lightly ran my Craft White pad over that. Don't push, just lightly drag across. Multiple directions to get all covered. Wow!! I grabbed a Thick Basic White card base, added a Basic Black layer and trimmed the embossed image down to size. Note: The Whisper White will take a bit to dry or grab your heat tool and speed it up! Saying from Simply Said. Retired black and white ribbon.

Block Spotlight

Hey all, finally back with those birthday cards I promised - last week got away! The first ones are headed out today in the mail! Inspired by something I saw on Pinterest but tweaked to be mine! And of course, purple!

Highland Heather to be exact, with Basic Black accent and Whisper White top layer. I inked up the "H" clear block for the rectangle element, then stamped the flower image from Spotlight on Nature over it with Memento Tuxedo Black. Happy Birthday (from retired Inked & Tiled) was added to the side and the whole top layer wax textured in the Stampin' Cut and Emboss with the retired Subtle folder. It now looks like textured cardstock! I layered the top layer onto the Basic Black, knotted a ribbon (retired Black & White check) around that and attached onto the Highland Heather card base. A few Highland Heather shimmer gems for the final accent!

Daisy Butterfly

Hey, all! Back again, but with different cards than I promised! Those are still coming. Had some time yesterday afternoon, and after a run through Pinterest, decided to give some retired DSP a go! I have tons of it that needs to be used up, and I'm betting most of you do too! Here is what I came out with!

12 cards made with retired Fresh as a Daisy DSP. One particular print, two sheets, cut down for backgrounds. It was precut so I literally just had to cut layers to size, punch the butterfly and add a Happy Birthday!

Colors are Moody Mauve on the base and Happy Birthday, accent of Bubble Bath. Basic White top layer.

Two different retired Happy Birthday stamps were used, and some Gold Glitter dots on the butterflies. Quick and simple! Think of the possibilities in your stash! So many beautiful papers, and likely other punches or dies that would work on this layout as well!

Classic Birthday

Hey, all. Happy Sunday! Finally made it to the stamp room yesterday and came out with several cards! I no longer make just one, I always make at least two since I'm cutting a piece of cardstock! Yesterday was 4 each of 2 designs! Here is the first.

Masculine. Those can be a challenge! I remembered though that I sorted some of my stamps out for just this purpose! Needing birthday cards so I reached for this classic: Classic Convertibles. I believe this is the 57 Chevy. There is also a T-Bird and Corvette.

Balmy Blue, Basic White and Basic Black. I grabbed the Balmy Blue blends to color in the card and it was super easy. Didn't go crazy with details, and actually added some color where I know its crome on the actual car, but it looked better colored here. Card base is Balmy Blue, background also Balmy Blue that I textured with the Forever Plaid Embossing Folder. Tone on tone! The car layer is attached with Dimensionals over the background. I love how this came out and have all 4 almost ready to mail this month!

Spotlight Texture Birthday

Hey all! Happy Holiday weekend! I did a little creating this week to catch up on birthday cards. Here is the result!

I again combined Elements of Text and Spotlight on Nature for a fabulous result! So many color combos this would work for! I'm using up retired items and colors, but also so many current that would work! This particular is Mango Melody with accents of Parakeet Party. Think Peach Pie and Lemon Lime Twist or Granny Apple Green.

Card base is Mango Melody, accent of Basic Black behind Basic White. The edges of both the Black and White have been roughed. On the Basic White I stamped the round text image in Crumb cake. Over that I stamped the large flower with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I colored the flower image with Stampin' Blends in Mango Melody and Parakeet Party. Once that was done, I sponged Crumb Cake on the edges of the card front, and used the small blender brush to add just a touch of color over the text words as well. Light touch here!! Accents of Champagne rhinestones and a grosgrain ribbon (retired) are the perfect final touches.
