Shimmery Gathered Wheat

Hey all! Look at me - two days in a row! Unexpected time at home equals some time to play! And it is far too hot outside to be doing much. We had a nice rain last night, but the weekend sounds brutal!

This is my first play with a new set, coming in the July-December Mini Catalog called Gathered Wheat. I'm a Kansas girl through and through and Wheat is right up there with Sunflowers for me. Especially since it is harvest time and we are missing it again.

Very quick and simple Thinking of You card. Vanilla background stamped with the Wheat bundle image in Crushed Curry. I tried several things (on other images) to color the rope, and nothing looked good. They all just got muddy and lost the detail. And this doesn't show well in the scan, but I grabbed my Stella pen and went over the tops of the wheat, and the rope. Totally accents all and makes them pop. Before that it was rather blended, but this looks great. And in person is a nice, subtle accent. Saying in Soft Suede finishes the card. Accent layer of Soft Suede, and Crushed Curry card base.

This is a great set, perfect for masculine cards. There is also a set of coordinating dies. I can't link below as they aren't yet available, but here are the numbers/costs.

Gathered Wheat set (7 cling stamps) 159841 $22.00

Wheat Dies 159842 $31.00

Gathered Wheat Bundle (Gathered Wheat Cling set + Wheat Dies) 159843 $47.50

Other products linked below. Thanks for stopping by! Hoping to find more play time and try out the dies with the set soon :)

Always and Forever!

Hey all! Hope you are all doing well! Pretty good here :) I have managed to create a few things lately, just haven't found the time to share. Here is one, a wedding card I did last week. I actually did a different card first, then realized the card should somewhat match the paper and I hadn't looked to see what I have. So, after looking I started over! If I had any general wedding in white or silver, I would have been OK. But I didn't. Everything had a definite color and pattern to it. But I had one that I knew would work with Painted Poppies. The printed paper was very similar to the flower, and the colors were orange and bright pink.

I think it worked well! Colors are Pumpkin Pie, Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight and Basic Black. Card base is Pumpkin, accent of Melon. Shimmery White Cardstock for the background and saying. Painted Poppies stamp set. Saying is from a retired set, Forever Blossoms. I alternated Pumpkin and Mambo solid images, then went over them all with Tuxedo Black Memento ink. Added some Daffodil splatters for accent and to fill white space. Black glitter ribbon, also retired, was knotted around the center then the saying attached with Stampin' Dimensionals. Pretty quick and easy! and hopefully a wow!

Thanks for stopping by today. Product details below. Hopefully more coming soon. I've got some new sets that I actually started working with last night. Hoping to spend most of my afternoon/evening in the stamp room today playing :)

In Color Paper Pumpkin!

Hey, all. Long time no see!! I finally made it to the stamp room last weekend on Sunday! Sadly it has taken me almost a week to get these posted.  I spent the afternoon sorting out retired/current everything. Then worked on the most recent Paper Pumpkin that evening - Celebrating In Color. Here is the box. I always like an alternate now and then!

The kit featuring the NEW In Colors, 2 cards with each color.

A look at the contents. Open and scattered. The card bases and coordinating envelopes. Some of the die cuts.

More contents. More die cuts, bases, embellishments and gift card pockets.

A close up of the gift pocket. Meant to hold a gift card inside the cards. I did not attach, but will if I use with a gift card. Adhesive applies to the fold and you attach to the card.

And, the stamp set. All Celebration related!

And the cards. As usual, I didn't stray much from the samples. But I did do mine one color per card, mainly with the embellishments. The samples show mixed but I did all the same as the bases.

Orchid Oasis

Parakeet Party

Starry Sky

Sweet Sorbet

And Tahitian Tide! This card I did change. I don't see myself sending a card that says "you make me happy". But this, yes.

Thank you for stopping by! I hope to be back soon! Life is still keeping us super busy and on the go. Guess that is good. And summer means garden and flowers take a lot of time to keep going. But I'm ready to get back to creating!

March Pumpkin Beyond The Horizon

Howdy all! Hope all is well. Done with taxes here, finally! Ready for Spring outside work but may be a bit chilly or windy the next few days, we shall see! Also have some cleaning and food prep for Easter on the agenda.

Made it to the stamp room last night. Opened my new goodies but knew the creativity probably wasn't there. So I reached for the most recent Paper Pumpkin - the March Beyond the Horizon kit. Mine was very late getting here so truly has only been here a few days. And April is already on the way.

These are great cards and quick and easy to put together. First, the box! Love that we frequently have a variety there now :) I have plenty of the bright orange ones. This is a great pattern and coordinates (of course!) with the inside. The top of the box

And the end. Hello Beyond the Horizon!

Inside the box at open. Not one, but TWO stamp sets. Ink spot. Ribbon. Note of thanks and the kit wrapped in tissue below.

Close up of the sets. First the one that coordinates with the kit.

And the bonus FREE set with the note of thanks. Both sets coordinate with the New Horizons Suite Collection.

And the kit. 3 cards, 3 of each. Colors include Bumblebee, Calypso Coral, Evening Evergreen, Misty Moonlight, Night of Navy, Old Olive and Pale Papaya.

A look at the envelopes, top and bottom. Love these!

I missed a picture of the rest of the kit. Die cuts, card bases, glue dots, dimensionals, ribbon, irridescent rhinestones. Here are the cards!

Quick and easy! Nine cards, ready to mail! Have a great day all, hope to be back soon. One bookkeeping project next, then cleaning house on the agenda today. Hopefully I have some help and it will go faster than expected :)

Daisy Lane 2 ways

Howdy again all! More creations from the other night. Daisy Lane, a retiring set :( Get it now!

I saw something similar on either Pinterest or Insta (can't find it again!). but inspired so here we go!

The card I saw was White on White (no accent layer), light Daisy in the background, color popped Daisy and saying. Here is my first attempt (click to enlarge!)

I seem to not be able to *not* do an accent layer! And, my neutral colors are all dark, not light! I just reinked them so that is part, but I honestly never feel they are "light". This one is Gray Granite and Melon Mambo. I stamped the daisy on the background randomly. On another piece of Basic White I did the Daisy and Friend in Melon Mambo. I punched the Daisy with the coordinating punch and hand cut the Friend. Card base is Basic White, accent of Gray Granite and background of Basic White stamped with Daisies in Gray Granite. The Daisy and saying are attached with Stampin' Dimensionals. The Daisy has Stella in the center. I added a few sequins for accent. Leftover sequins from the last Paper Pumpkin I did.

Second play, similar but different! Crumb Cake with Polished Pink (click to enlarge)

Same as above, just different colors. Crumb Cake accent and background stamping, Polished Pink flower and saying. Same sequin accents.

Thanks for stopping by - product details and shopping links below. Hopefully back soon!
