Lime Beauty Butterfly

Hey all! Sorry for the long absence yet again! Spring equals busy work, and College Boy has been home for the last two weeks. Stamping takes a back seat!!

I have played a little here and there! I pulled out the Lemon Lime Twist which is retiring and one I will miss! Never would have guessed it would be a favorite but it is! I also grabbed my newest favorite sets, Beauty Abounds and Butterfly Gala. Add Basic Gray and Smoky Slate and we're off!

Lemon Lime Twist card base, accent layer of Basic Gray. Whisper White background. On the background I used the larger dot image to stamp 3 sets of Lemon Lime Twist dots. Then Smoky Slate for the smaller dots, some full strength, some off. Basic Gray for the splatter in the center, and the butterflies on a separate piece of card stock. I stamped the butterflies with the dot stamps as well and then punched them out. They could have used a bit more color, or somehow more contrast to the background. I went over the butterflies with Stella (Wink of Stella glitter pen) but it doesn't show in the scan. Butterflies are attached with dimensionals. The Lemon Lime Twist Ombre Ribbon is knotted around.

Thanks for stopping by! Back soon, I have a few more to share and hopefully stamping time this weekend. College Boy is heading back to work so hopefully I can find more stamping time :)

Beautiful Birthday!

Happy Monday all. I'm dragging for some reason. Too much doing nothing over the weekend? Nice relaxing one at home again. Spent some time stamping too!

I'm trying to use up retiring items - Designer Paper, ribbon, etc. It might be a big project!! I started with my Gingham Gala stack and chopped it all! It is a 6x6 pack, so I cut at 4", then trimmed both pieces to 5-1/4 so they are ready to use. 3 cards done, long ways to go!

I grabbed the Beautiful Day set and the 3 colors that have Stampin' Blends to match. Balmy Blue, Highland Heather and Daffodil Delight.

I also had the ribbon from Sale-a-Bration hanging around that just happens to coordinate! I love the look of this set but it does take time to color and cut out! Accent layer on these in Basic Black - it just makes it all pop. I debated white, but it didn't work the same. I could also have used either White or Black ribbon on these. Saying is from the same set on a Stitched Rectangle. Loving that set of dies!

Thanks for stopping by! My to do list for the day is long and I'm not too excited about any of it - but off I go!! Shopping links and product details below.

February Paper Pumpkin

Meant to get this posted much sooner but... Life :)

Worked this kit up right after the April one. Passed on March, it is in the sell pile. But this one I really liked!

Grown With Kindness! Here is the kit (click to enlarge any pictures)

and the contents once opened. Enough for 9 cards and envelopes!

A closer look at the stamp set. You always get a set, but the kits generally have little stamping required. But, the stamp is yours to keep! Kits always include at least one Stampin' Spot as well.

And finally, the 3 cards. These were taken with my phone instead of scanned like I usually do so they aren't as straight and flat as usual!

And that last one is a little blurry too, but you get the idea! Very fun!! Folding, layers, adding tag shapes - sayings are stamped on those. And a couple have stamping on the background near the tag. Thread ties or bows and enamel dots.

Old to New: Concord

Ohh, man! I love this "old" color! Concord Crush was definitely a favorite. **IS a favorite! The only retired color ink pad that still resides on my stamp table!! 11 cards created today in this combo.

This scan really doesn't do it justice. The case base shows as too dark, and the bow to light. Trust me, in real life it is awesome! Perfect blend.

Wishing You Well Stamp set. Card base is Concord Crush on which I stamped the small flowers around the edge. Accent layer of Pear Pizzazz and Whisper White background. Bow stamped on a separate strip of Whisper White and fussy cut. Saying at the bottom in Concord Crush. Stem image in Pear Pizzazz. Flowers over in Concord Crush. Oh, and some Stella on the bow!

Here is the original card these layers were cut for. Another Open House creation.

These flashbacks are awesome! This frame embossing folders was very neat. I've come across several samples recently. The stamped images here were completely embossed with Iridescent Ice EP. Fun! Full details HERE on this card.

Old to New: Poppy

Howdy all! A little different share tonight.

I've been on a mission for the last year or so to sort through and eliminate excess "stuff" from my stamp room. Progress has been made but still a LONG ways to go! My most recent focus is cut cardstock packets that are hanging around. Anytime time I did an event, I packaged items for each card in cello bags. Enough for the number I knew was attending, plus a few more in case of extra guests. Those "extra" have accumulated over the years and I have STACKS of them sitting around. I decided over the weekend to remake them into cards I can use. Most will have retired products on them and I generally wouldn't share that, but I want you to see the difference! I'm also hoping to start mailing cards on a regular basis, so this will help! I started working up a birthday list tonight, and I spent some time this afternoon sorting the "made" cards by category so I can easily grab one when needed!!

Here is the first card I did from the packets. There are two versions because of DSP limits. These were from an Open House where I usually prepped at least 20. DSP doesn't always go that far, so I used several patterns. I completed 8 or 9 cards total of these two patterns.

Colors are Poppy Parade, Daffodil Delight and Peach Parfait (retired). I'm not a huge fan of red, but I love this Poppy Parade. Very glad it returned to the line up:)

Next is the original card.

I eliminated the pom pom trim (too bulky!) and the center strip of punched Peach Parfait. Instead of the old scallop punches, I used the Starburst punch in Poppy with a Whisper White 2" circle. Stamped the flower from Sunshine Sayings in Daffodil Delight, and Happy Birthday in Poppy Parade. Attached with Stampin' Dimensionals over Daffodil Ribbon. I had strips of Poppy and Whisper with the packets for punching so that worked well. The Daffodil Ribbon is retiring this year, so good to use it up!

Thanks for stopping by! I'll be back soon with another packet share and a Paper Pumpkin. Shopping links below for products that are available!!
