Rooted in Nature Wash

Happy Monday all! I for one was glad I could leave the house today! Another snowy weekend kept us home! Very cold today though so it was a quick trip for a few groceries.

Workshop for Sunday was postponed so I won't be sharing those creations yet. I worked a little over the weekend though and here is one creation. The Color Throwdown had another great color challenge! Here is my card

based on the challenge below of Rust, Purple, Gray and White. Stampin' Up! Colors are Cajun Craze, Gorgeous Grape, Smoky Slate & Basic Gray.

I started this Saturday, then got distracted by basketball and snow. Helped shovel Sunday am and was wiped out the rest of the day! Errands, laundry etc today so just squeaking in before they close the challenge! Hopefully.

Watercolor wash. I stamped the leaves Full strength Grape, once off. Full strength Smoky Slate, one off. Full strength Cajun, once off. All on Shimmery White and then spritzed with water and walked away while it dried. Today I picked it up, added the saying in Basic Gray. Knotted the ribbon around and mounted it together. The ribbon by the way is the Whisper White Flax from the Occasions catalog that I colored with my Cajun Craze Blend. Top layers are mounted with dimensionals onto the Cajun Craze base. Final accent are Pearl Sequins.

More Dandelion Wishes!

Howdy all! These have been sitting on my desk waiting to be shared! I do have more things coming - I've been in the room quite a bit. Look for them after the workshop on Sunday!!

These are very similar to the others I've shared recently with this set, but what a difference a color change makes! Coastal Cabana with Basic Black and Whisper White. Very pretty! The square of Coastal Cabana behind the image was done by inking my "D" size clear bock and stamping it on the Whisper White background. The ink on these appears to be Basic Gray. Think I had a brain freeze and used Basic Black cardstock instead of Basic Gray. Goes well together though! The top layers are mounted on to the card base with Stampin' Dimensionals. The accents are Coastal Cabana Glitter Enamel Dots. Quick and easy!

Thanks for stopping by! I will be back after Sunday, maybe before if I need a mojo starter and play along with a challenge somewhere. Product details and shopping links below.

Birthday Butterflies!

Happy Monday all! I have a #simplestamping card for you today! How long has it been since you made a card with just stamps, ink and paper? Quite awhile for me I'm sure! But look how pretty...

Love Love Love!! Of course purple is my thing, and this new color Gorgeous Grape is awesome!!

The layout was inspired by a sketch I saw last week at Sketch Frenzy Friday. I missed playing along, but here it is so you can see my starting point!

Card base is Gorgeous Grape with a Basic Black accent layer behind a Whisper White background. On that background I stamped the larger set of circles from Beauty Abounds in Smoky Slate (off once). *My Smoky Slate is either darker than it should be, or over inked!! The Happy Birthday is from Beautiful Day set and was stamped near the center, left side in Tuxedo Black Memento. The two butterflies and parts are from the Butterfly Gala set. The solid image is two parts both stamped in Gorgeous Grape.

Thanks for stopping by today! Product details and shopping links below!

Another #CTD530

And of course using Painted Harvest! I actually played with this one when creating the other one, but decided I liked the other better. But today I had time to play, so I redid this one. It was just a little off the first time!

Remember the Challenge colors at Color Throwdown are Dark Pink, Gray and Black. #CTD530 #colorthrowdown

My Stampin' Up! color choices were Melon Mambo, Lovely Lipstick, Gray Granite and Basic Black. Card base is Lovely Lipstick, accent layer of Basic Black and background of Shimmery White. On that background I stamped the flowers by using Melon Mambo for the back petal layer, Lovely Lipstick for the center petal, Gray Granite for the center and Tuxedo Memento Black for the dots. Dots are in the center of the center and randomly between flowers - some full strength, some stamped off once and twice. Lovely Lipstick 1/8" Grosgrain was attached around the center. The staying was stamped on an Oval Circle cut with the Stitched Shapes Framelits and attached over the ribbon with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Thanks for stopping by today! I'll be back tomorrow for sure and hopefully a few more times this week. Unexpected weekend at home equals stamping time! I'm working my way towards a workshop next weekend so wish me luck!! Product details and shopping links below.
