Painted Harvest Asters

Hey all! Happy Friday! We've survived another work week :)
I found some time in the stamp room last night and I went up with an idea in my head. I was walking on my front deck this week and noticed my Asters were blooming. I walked over closer and looked down at them. My first thought...I can do that with Painted Harvest!  Here was my view (click to enlarge)

Love these, and the inspiration they give!!

Here is the card I came up with, actually two versions. Seems like lately I sit down to create two of something but come out with variations! :)

Love them both and they are very similar. Only difference being the leaf stamping. One is just the "outline" image, the other has both inside and outside.

Card base is Highland Heather, accent layer of Pineapple Punch and background of Shimmery White. So pretty in person!! I stamped the flower and leaves on a separate piece of Shimmery White. And I fussy cut the flowers again. Don't like it, but for effect will do it! Flower was stamped with Just Highland Heather. I debated adding Gorgeous Grape as the inside flower stamp but was afraid it would be too dark. So, I stamped off the background of the flower twice, rotating the block 90 degrees in between. I stamped the center first in Pineapple Punch, did the two background flower images, then the inside flower full strength. Leaves were separate in Pear Pizzazz. One I stamped the background then the accent outline. The other just the outline. Both punched with the coordinating Leaf punch. Happy Birthday at the bottom in Highland Heather from Perennial Birthday. Ribbon in Highland Heather, retired from a Sale-A-Bration feature.

I don't think it shows in the scan, but the center (Pineapple) has a Shimmery Crystal Effects layer. **LOVE** Can't remember the last time I used Crystal Effects or anything like it, but I knew I would love this! You will be seeing more! New item in the Holiday Catalog.

More Painted Harvest!

Howdy all! Here are a couple more Painted Harvest cards I did in the same colors as the one last week. Poppy Parade, Pineapple Punch, Soft Suede and Granny Apple Green. I was going to just make two of the exact same card and call it good, but I ran out of ribbon so the second is different!

Very similar but different look. Both are Soft Suede card bases, accent layer of Poppy Parade and background of Very Vanilla. Saying from Perennial Birthday on a Stitched Rectangle. I did the top one first, with the Copper Trim. The plan was to stamp two flowers as close to each outside edge as possible, then layer a third over that was cut out. Rather tricky to get the flowers at the edge when you're starting with the center of the flower!! On the background I stamped the center first in Soft Suede, then the background of the flower twice in Pineapple, turning 90 degrees between stamping. Then Poppy Parade over both and accented with Granny Apple Green stems and leaves. Lastly, dots in varying degrees of Soft Suede. The third flower was stamped the same way on a separate piece of paper and fussy cut. Not my favorite by a long shot, but the effect is worth it!

Thanks for stopping by today! I'm headed up stairs so we'll see if any stamping gets done!  Product details and shopping links below.

Painted Harvest CTD560

Hey all! I survived the fair and am trying to get back into the swing of things. Stamping is coming slow!! I did spend some time in my room this weekend, but mostly watching college football. My Cats got a win!! :)

The Challenge at Color Throwdown was right up my alley so I gave it a shot. Honestly I wanted to try a couple other things too, but that didn't happen. Guess it still might - we'll see how the week goes!! For now, here is the card I made.

And their challenge

Red, yellow, brown and green in my Stampin' Up! world is Poppy Parade, Pineapple Punch, Soft Suede and Granny Apple Green. Card base is Pineapple, accent layer of Soft Suede and background of Very Vanilla. I stamped the center of the flowers first in Soft Suede. Next the background layer twice, rotating the block 90 degrees in Pineapple. Then the center once in Poppy Parade. Accent leaves in Granny Apple and dots in Soft Suede stamped full to off several times. Accent ribbon of Poppy Parade 1/2" Textured Weave. Saying on my new favorite Stitched Rectangle die.

Thanks for stopping by today! Hopefully I'll be back on a more regular basis! Shopping links and product details below!! Contact me if you have any questions!
