Everything SR#329

Howdy all! Back again!! Being home and caught up on other things has allowed some time in the stamp room lately. I have a huge mountain to climb in getting it cleaned out (goal=huge garage sale) but I've at least managed to sort out all retired/retiring stamps and accessories so that I know what is current! Not much left to work with, especially in the accessory department, but my preorder is arriving today so that should help.

After working around the house all day yesterday, I decided I was stamping something last night! After browsing a few of my favorite challenges, I settled on the Stampin' Royalty color challenge. Here is my card.

You may have to enlarge that to see the detail, but the colors as shown below are Crumb Cake, Smoky Slate and Pool Party.

The background is done with the Timeless Textures set from the Occasions Catalog. It will be continuing into the new catalog-yeah! This set was top of my stack to put together. The flower and words are from a set that was FREE with the April My Paper Pumpkin. All About Everything. Great flower and words!

Card base is Crumb Cake, accent layer Pool Party. Background Whisper White. The stamped background elements: dots in Crumb Cake, squares in Smoky Slate, swirls in Pool Party. All stamped off once to give the very light effect. I sponged a little Crumb Cake around the edge. The words were stamped full ink, You Are My in Pool Party and Everything in Crumb Cake. The flower was stamped on another piece of Whisper White, cut out and attached with a Stampin' Dimensional. Final accent, a Metal Rimmed Pearl for the center of the flower.

Thanks for stopping by! Product details below. Hope to be back again soon!!

Graduation!

We don't get many cards each year, but it was rather funny this year that the three we did get all came on the same day! and from three very different places. What are the odds??

Here are the two cards I came up with. Some retired product but that's what I had!! Same card really, just a little different on the colors.

The top one is a Basic Gray card base with Silver Glimmer paper and Shimmery White cardstock. Stamping is done in Smoky Slate, Basic Gray and Cherry Cobbler. Congratulations from Sassy Salutations, lines and splatter from Gorgeous Grunge, and stars and confetti from the retired graduation set Graduation. Stars cut using a retired Big Shot die.

The second one is also a Basic Gray base but with Red Glimmer paper and Whisper White cardstock. Stamping is done with Smoky Slate, Basic Gray and Real Red. Same stamps and stars as above.

Congrats to all the gradates out there! Two of these went in the mail, one went to a local grad Friday night.

Thanks for stopping by! Details are below for products that are availale!!

Lovely Little Wreath - April Paper Pumpkin

I made it to the stamp room Thursday night and accomplished something!!! Three graduation cards which I'll share tomorrow, and the April My Paper Pumpkin!! Isn't this adorable!!?? Oh, and goal met. The new My Paper Pumpkin is on the way, but not here yet!!

That is the finished project. I don't think it even took an hour! Let's walk through how I got there!!

Here is what it looks like, right out of the box. Stamp set, Very Vanilla Craft Spot and the kit and instructions.

Contents of the Kit

A closer look at the papers. Tags and chalk board pieces. Die cut tissue flowers (yellow) and the die cut leaves to wrap around the wreath.

I started by punching out all the leaf strips. Here is a closer look at one.

And the back side showing the adhesive.

The process. Peal the adhesive, adhere to the wreath, overlapping slightly.

I worked my way all around the wreath. The last strip was a little tricky since I had to lift the leaves already there but it wasn't bad. Here is the wreath all wrapped. There was more than enough strips to get it done!!

Next I did the flowers and chalk board tag. I don't seem to have a picture of just the tag, but here are the flowers in process. There were small adhesive dots, so I attached one to each tip of the stem and added a folded flower.

Final step, attach the stem and flowers to the top of the wreath, wrap the ribbon around, catch the tag and tiebow. Done!! Too much fun!!
