Update!

Hey, all. Once again I have been missing in action! and it's likely to stay that way for a while. Summer!! I did want to share a few things though!

Birthday Butterfly

Hey all! Welcome back! I made it to the stamp room yesterday. Did some more sorting of old stuff, then took some time to make a card. Inspired by a color challenge, this is what I came up with!


The color challenge this week at Color Throwdown is Black, White and Aqua.


My colors are Bermuda Bay, Basic Black and Shimmery White. We have several colors that would have worked for this, but Bermuda has Stampin' Blends and I haven't used it for quite a while!! The set, Beautiful Day has become a go to for me. So pretty, so quick! I stamped the butterfly on a separate piece of Shimmery White and colored with the Bermuda Bay Stampin' Blends. Light first, then accented with dark, then blended. I then cut the butterfly out, went over it all with my Wink of Stella clear glitter, and attached it to the card background with dimensionals. The ribbon is the 3/8" Shimmer Ribbon in Basic Black. The saying was stamped at the bottom in Bermuda Bay.

Fab Friend

Happy Monday all!  Yes, I know. Monday's generally aren't happy. I'm dragging quite a bit myself today!! Had a good weekend though and made it to the stamp room last night, so I have another card to share!


This one was inspired by color challenge at Fab Friday.  Pinks are my second favorite color group! Melon Mambo, Flirty Flamingo and Powder Pink specifically for this one.

The card base is Melon Mambo, with accent layers of both Flirty Flamingo and Powder Pink. Background layer is Shimmery White. I first stamped the "blot" with Powder Pink, then added two of the flower image from Love What You Do in Memento Black. I grabbed my Melon Mambo and Flirty Flamingo markers and colored the flowers. After that was done, I grabbed my Wink of Stella and went over them. The Shimmery cardstock gave them some shimmer, but Stella made them pop. That doesn't come though well in the scan though. The saying was also stamped with Memento Black, and the final accent is the 3/8" Classic Weave Ribbon in Whisper White.

Balloon Celebration

Hey all! Hope you're weekend has been great. Pretty good here. The weather has been cooler. We did some work outside this morning, then played hooky this afternoon and took our classic car for a spin to a local winery! Perfect day!!

I did make a card last night I want to share. Found a color challenge that I knew would let me use some new colors! Actually, one new, one current in color, and one returning color! And I used a set I've had for awhile, but never inked. Here is my card.


I found the challenge shown below over at Stamp Ink Paper. Their purple, aqua and lime equates to our NEW Gorgeous Grape, returning Coastal Cabana and In Color Lemon Lime Twist.

I pulled out Balloon Celebrations and went to work. I stamped the strings in Memento Black, then added 3 balloons stamped directly, and then stamped 3 more on a separate sheet and punched with the coordinating punch. I layered those over the stamped ones. It seemed too white so I added some random stars in the same colors. The ribbon is the Lemon Lime Twist Ombre. The saying is punched with the Classic Label and attached with Mini Dimensionals.
