Love & Laughter

Morning all - Happy Weekend!! Not much rest will be happening here, but we do get to celebrate at a wedding later today. Here is the card I came up with after browsing around Pinterest for a while :)

Pretty but not over fancy is what I was going for and I think this works. I really debated what color to use. I don't know anything about the wedding and the invite was very neutral. So since I was using the Forever Fern images, I went with the two new greens, Evening Evergreen and Soft Succulent. Card base is Evening Evergreen. I did add a Basic White panel to the inside, forgot to get a pic of that. If the base is dark I generally do that. It had ferns on two corners and a wedding saying leaving just enough space to write Congratulations :) This particular gold paper is not current, but there is a similar metallic specialty paper in the current catalog. I love the gold accent for dressing this up! I stamped on the Basic White background in Soft Succulent two different Fern images, one above the saying, one below. I added some splatter dots in both Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen, stamping some off once. I cut two images from a separate Basic White stamped with Evening Evergreen and attached those over the previous stamped images. Not with dimensionals but still an effective layering. Saying stamped in Evergreen on a strip of Basic White, attached to another strip of Gold and layered over all the stamping.

Thanks for stopping by today! Off to hit the to do list before the wedding later today. Product details and shopping links below. Happy Stamping all!

Thinking Quiet Meadow

Hey all. Busy times here with Spring weather. And that late tax date didn't help me either!

Made a card last Sunday and just now getting it posted. :( Sorry, hopefully it will get better. I can hope anyway. My garden is planted and all flowers are in. I just have to maintain and deal with the "spoils" once they arrive :)

Here is my first attempt with the new set Quiet Meadow.

Inspired by the sketch last week at Freshly Made Sketches. It is now closed so I'm not entering the challenge, but it is linked if you want to click over and see all the lovely ideas! Here is the sketch.

Also inspired by an old color challenge at CAS I found calling for Daffodil Delight, Basic Gray and Smoky Slate *click the link to see all the creations. It took me a few tries to get a background I like, but I do like how this one came out. First, the card base is Basic Gray with an accent layer of Daffodil Delight and background of Whisper White. On the White I stamped the words and flowers with Smoky Slate. I went over it all with dots stamped off once with Basic Gray. I grabbed a dauber and Daffodil Delight for the small flowers and large flower centers lightly. I textured the entire image once complete with the Tasteful Textile folder. The flower image was stamped on a separate piece of Basic White in Basic Gray. I daubered over the flowers with Daffodil Delight. The saying "shape" is cut from the coordinating die set Meadow Dies, as is the Daffodil Delight butterfly.  Flower image, tag saying and butterfly all attached with dimensionals.

Thanks for stopping by. Need a wedding card so may be trying to create shortly! No idea if I have one in my stash. Doubtful!! So, I may be back soon :) Product details and shopping links below as usual. Happy Spring all, and Happy Stamping!

Color Celebrate

Hey all! A quick post to start my day. Need to be working on taxes and I will get there, but first a share!! Want them done so I can get on to more fun Spring things and hopefully back in the stamp room more often!

Another creation with the Color & Contour bundle I shared before the catalog was live. Clean and quick on this one.

Really like these new colors and that ribbon! Soft and pretty! Just Pale Papaya and Fresh Freesia this time. Card base is Pale Papaya with an accent of Basic Black and a background of Basic White. I stamped the splatter image in both Papaya and Freesia, some full strength, some off once. The flowers were stamped in Memento Black first. I added the bold image with Papaya and colored the centers with the Freesia marker. Flowers were cut with the coordinating die and attached with Dimensionals. I went over the center color with Stella and added an In Color Rhinestone. One is rouge in this pic but I fixed it before I gave it away!! I knotted the ribbon around and added the saying from Celebrate Sunflowers. Perfect Birthday card!

Thanks for stopping by today! Hope to be back soon. I have new stuff in the stamp room that needs to be broken out!! Taxes first, then stamping :) Have a GREAT weekend all!
