Christmas, not the drink!! Another card for the Christmas challenge pre challenge!
I've had this set forever and rarely used it. One of the first I 'found' after moving and it's been sitting ready and waiting!! Old Fashioned Christmas has this Santa, a larger Santa with presents/toys and a fabulous Christmas tree! Betting you will see it again soon :)
Retired DSP, colors Real Red and Old Olive. Circle punches layered. Scallop square punch with Real Red 1/8" ribbon around and knotted into a bow. Fairly simple except for tying the bows and getting the ribbon to stay attached to the 'box'. I think I know what I need to do next time to fix that!!
Thanks for stopping by today! Hope to keep up with the challenges and be back soon! Off to chug my coffee and get to work on chores around the house!!
Hey all, Happy Sunday! I've been inspired by a challenge from a friend. He is a fellow SU! Demo and is doing a "make a Christmas card every day in November" challenge. I'm still getting a handle on my stamp room and trying to make it manageable, but I figure you gotta start somewhere! Here is my first creation for a pre-challenge sketch challenge. Part of what I used is retired but you can always find something current that is similar. I'm betting most of you have stashes of stuff, just like I do!! :)
Card base is Misty Moonlight with a Very Vanilla background. On that background I stamped a retired set (Snow Burst) in Misty Moonlight, some full strength, some off once. Across the background is a (retired) Not Quite Navy striped ribbon. Over that is an embossed snowflake using the retired Northern Flury folder cut with a Starburst die. The flake was attached with Stampin' Dimensionals. The saying from the current Greetings of the Season set and on a die from the coordinating die set. Buy the bundle, or each item separately! A few rhinestones accent the center of the snowflake and the tag!
Thanks for stopping by! I hope to be back soon! I'm pretty sure I'm not making every day of November with a creation, but I will do what I can!! Current items linked to my store below.
Don't remember if I mentioned this here, but Close to My Heart closed their doors in June and Stampin' Up! acquired their remaining inventory. And welcomed many of their consultants to Stampin' Up!
As of tomorrow, October 16, all remaining inventory is on sale!
I briefly mentioned in yesterday's update post a new scrapbook catalog. Stampin' Up! has made the commitment to increase this product line and there will be many new products coming in the future! This first catalog is digital only and supplements the current Mini Catalog!
First, I have updated the right sidebar with all the current catalog and product links.
Actually, first is the October Host code. Use it for all orders LESS than $150 for a chance to earn the Host $$ for the month. If we reach $150, I do a random draw from all orders to choose who wins near the end of the month!
Annual Catalog *This catalog runs May-April and contains all the basics plus a great variety of stamps! Click the link to view the digital copy, shop at the above or below links!!

Hey, all, long time no see here! Happy Sunday, Happy October! Love the changing season!! Sorry about the absence, we are staying super busy! I have managed to get some time in the stamp room though, and hopefully more to come! We are settled in quite well so I should be able to get some regular time stamping! I do have many projects to work through too though, like retired stamps to sell and such so I'm working on finding a balance between work and play :)
Here are a few things I've done recently, then I will list some current Stampin' Up! things below!
Stampin' Up! did an event on World Card Making Day 10/5, and they gave us a heads up on products to be used. I'd seen these but not tried them so I ordered a few. I watched the video live but didn't play until later as we literally walked in the door a few minutes after it started.
Here is the link to the video if you'd like to watch. Sara did 5 quick cards, then some other info was shared
No stamping on these as they used the new mix and match items from page 18/19 in the annual catalog. Card/envelope sets combined with Ephemera packs (links below). I didn't order all the sets, just the one with lots of sayings and the flower one. I knew I wouldn't use the others.
Calming Creek Cards and Envelopes
Fully Flowering Ephemera pack
Saying Something Ephemera pack
And, the 5 cards I created! I used adhesive and a few dimensionals, and some stella on the blue one!
And I have lots more of both ephemera sets to use on future cards!
Yesterday I spent some time making gift tags. Friday, I had grabbed a new die set that features tags and cut some. Then I remembered a couple of kits I had previously started so I went hunting in the closet! I found the Paper Pumpkin Winter Gifts kit (11/2019) and went to work. It was a little more involved than I initially thought and took me most of the day, but I've got 6 each of 4 different tags ready to use at Christmas! Here are the tags:
These were fun and I'm glad to have one more thing out of the closet and ready to use! I added a to/from to each so they would be functional for us!
I'm going to call it quits here for today and I'll be back tomorrow with an all things SU! post! Have a GREAT day all! I'm going to go take a walk and get some sun and steps and then see what needs doing around here!
