Spotlight Freesia Thanks

Hey all! Back today with the thank you cards I mailed this week! Inspired to use Spotlight on Nature! Combined it with a new background and here we are!

I stamped the Painted Stripes background with Fresh Freesia on Very Vanilla. I added "thanks" at the bottom with Tuxedo Black Memento ink and the large flower image from Spotlight on Nature. I added color to the flower and stems with blends in Fresh Freesia and Soft Seafoam. The ribbon is current, Black and Vanilla check. I knotted a bow and attached with a glue dot. A few pearls are the final accent. The stamped background is attached to an accent layer of Basic Black and then a Fresh Freesia card base.

Here is a hint for using the large background stamps like this. Do not cut your card to final size before stamping. In this case, I cut my Vanilla in quarters, 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 and then stamped. I then could trim the edges that weren't perfect to get to the final size I needed! These stamps are larger than they used to be, but still can be tricky at the edge!!

Strawberry Spotlight

Hey all! Happy Tuesday. Better than Monday right :) Gotta get to working on taxes but wanted to share this first! Needed some birthday cards yesterday, Spotlight on Nature to the rescue!

Welcome back Strawberry Slush as in In Color! We had it a few years ago and it is returning for 2025-2027! I will share the rest later! But I still have this one, so I dug it out. I really do like it, a very happy, bright pink/red!

I had this idea in my head since last weekend when I played with this set - see that result on Thursday! I grabbed the coordinating die set and the largest circle with the floral edges and cut a Very Vanilla circle. Stamped on that with Stazon Jet black the flower image. I water colored that (who am I??) with the ink and a little marker using the Water Painters. I used the Strawberry Slush marker just a bit, then water with ink from the top of the ink pad. I grabbed Lemon Lime Twist for the stem and leaves and repeated the process with both the marker and water painter/ink pad.

I stamped the background on Very Vanilla with the new Painted Stripes background. At the bottom I added "Happy Birthday" from Simply Said. I attached the colored flower circle with Stampin' Dimensionals, added a knotted black/vanilla bow and a few pearls for accent. So pretty!

And good news, it appears this set is not going away. I was afraid it was, but I do NOT see it on the Last Chance list!
