Sketch Frenzy Friday 053113

Happy Friday all! Hope you've had a GREAT week! Full of weather here! Storms all week, plenty of rain, and luckily no severe stuff!!

As you know, Friday means another round of Sketch Frenzy Friday! Here is my creation

based on this sketch by Patrice Herrera.

My color combination: Rich Razzleberry, Bermuda Bay and Daffodil Delight. I found a DSP print that I liked in the new DSP pack, Quartrefancy Specialty, in Daffodil Delight. I knew that would go with Rich Razzleberry, then looked to find a 3rd color for contrast. The returning Bermuda Bay!! I stamped the butterflies from Papillion Potpouri on Whisper White and punched with the coordinating punches. The saying is from a new greeting set, Really Good Greetings, and was stamped in Rich Razzleberry directly on the DSP. The butterflies were attached with dimensionals and have added "bling" rhinestones.

Sketch Frenzy Friday 052413

Happy Friday all, thanks for stopping by!! Thanks for hanging with me over the last few months with my scattered posting!! Hoping soon to get back on a more regular schedule!!

As you know, Friday means another round of Sketch Frenzy Friday!! Great sketch this week by Tammy Fite! Here is my card

based on this sketch by Tammy:

I walked into my room tonight (Thursday, after 8:30 pm!!) with no clue where I was going with this! Love that SU! makes such great stuff that I can easily pull something together that works so well!!

The Chevron pattern in the sketch caught my eye, so I started looking at DSP. I landed on the Parker's Patterns pack from the Spring Mini and found a Chevron print in Daffodil Delight. My brain immediately went to a sunflower type flower for the element (imagine that!!). I briefly considered building a flower with the Fun Flowers die, but then settled on the Perfect Pennant Die for the element, with a Secret Garden die cut flower. Colors, Chocolate Chip, Daffodil Delight and Whisper White. Simple and Sweet :)

Sketch Frenzy Friday 051013

Happy Friday all! and Happy Graduation to all those Seniors who are gracing the stage tomorrow!! My Oldest Son included!! Stressful for Mom, but a VERY special time!!

Today's Sketch Frenzy Friday sketch is by yours truly! Quick and simple and perfect for a couple more graduation cards!! Here is what I came up with

based on this sketch

I needed two cards for out of town cousins and this worked perfectly. Both invites seem to indicate the school colors are Red & Black, with Silver and White accents. I happened to think of the Red Glimmer paper and knew I was set! Card base is Real Red with a Basic Black background layer. I stamped the saying on Whisper White in Real Red and added a graduation cap in Black. The silver brads were the perfect accent for the sketch, and the cap! Hopefully these will be in the mail tomorrow!!

Howdy all, Happy Friday! Sadly, this another one of those "I don't have a card" posts! So sorry! I always have the best of intentions, but this time of year is just crazy! My boys are almost done with their school year, and one of them is graduating next weekend (YIKES). We've been jammed with end of year activities and graduation party prep! I won't bore you with any more details :)

Here is the Sketch Frenzy Friday sketch of the week, by Deb Currier.

RETIREMENT LISTS!!

It’s that time again! Stampin’ Up! has released the retirement lists for the current catalog. Remember, stamps don’t sell out, but accessories and such do! The catalog is good through May 31, so stamps will be available that long. Accessories are while supplies last.

Remember too the Spring Mini is also good through May 31. I’ve not seen an official list of items that are continuing on, but the new catalog is available to us Demonstrators. If you have a question about something, ask! I’m ordering some today so should have in hand soon J

You have two choices in viewing the lists, pdf files that open with Adobe. Or Excel files that you can sort as you choose.

Here are the lists for retiring stamps:

And here are the lists for accessories. Remember, accessories will sell out. Notice the “not available” column. And note some of the accessories are offered at discounted prices.

If you need accessories, get the order in ASAP. The best bet for you is going to be to shop my online store at the following link:

You can always email me too, but I can’t guarantee when I will see the message. Crazy weekend on tap with one son headed to prom tonight! That means I won’t be sleeping much either J Also hoping to get outside and get some work done, along with many other projects inside!!

Two other things to mention. SU! has both a hostess special and recruit special going right now. Through May 30, Hostesses with a $350 workshop get an extra $30 in Free Merchandise. And anyone who joins the SU! family right now gets an extra $30 in product in their Starter Kit! Contact me if you need more details on either offer!!

Open House Swallowtail

Somehow this last card from Open House last month never got posted!! This was the only original card I created for the Open House :)

The colors are Elegant Eggplant, Summer Starfruit & Baja Breeze. We embossed with Swallowtail on Naturals Ivory Card Stock with Clear Embossing Powder, then used a Sponge Dauber to apply color over the embossing. I generally like to tap the dauber over the embossing, then rub also to get the color down onto the card stock. Once you have applied all the color you'd like, rub over it all with a tissue. This will remove any ink that is sitting on the embossing and prevent you from getting ink where you don't want it. The Swallowtail was attached to a Summer Starfruit layer for accent, then onto the Eggplant card base. The saying was from Teeny Tiny Wishes. It was stamped in Eggplant, punched with the Word Window and attached to an Eggplant Modern Label Punch. At the edge of the label we added Mini Silver Brads before attaching over the Swallowtail with dimensionals.

Thanks for stopping by today!!
