Berry Remarkable

Another creation! I've been wanting to play with this new paper, the Color Theory DSP stack. Love the different options!! I selected the "paint chip" piece in Berry Burst for my first go! Here is my card

Card base is Berry Burst. Accent "paint chip" on the left side. Whisper White was stamped with the "you are remarkable" at the bottom in Basic Black, and the flower near the top also in Basic Black. Over the flower, I inked a clear block with Berry Burst and stamped. The ink pad is brand new and very inky so it "bubbled". Great look! A Berry Burst ribbon was tied around and the Whisper White layered onto Basic Black for the accent.

Quick and easy! The block will give you a different look every time!!

Lemon Lime Sheltering Tree

Hey all! Sorry for the delay...again! too many things going on as usual!! I have several things to share over the next few days though, so keep checking back!!

Here is a card I made the other night! I wanted to try Sheltering Tree with Lemon Lime Twist and the new Ombre ribbon. Here you go!

I like it! This ribbon doesn't show the "ombre" quite as much as the Island Indigo (check back in a few days!!) but I still like it! Quick and easy! Tree is Chocolate Chip as is the accent layer and saying. Background of Whisper White, card base of Lemon Lime Twist.

Awesomely Artistic #GDP089

Hello all! Finally found some time in the stamp room this weekend! My weeks get crazy but the weekends have been more calm lately. We did some work outside early yesterday then spent the rest of the day inside, with the AC on!

Since I've been more out of stamping than in, I've spent some time browsing around for stamping challenges. Some of the ones I used to follow aren't active anymore. One I've found is Global Design Project and here is my creation for their color challenge!

The challenge was to use Basic Black, Old Olive and Calypso Coral. I recently put together my Awesomely Artistic set so I reached for that. I was picturing something much different, but I like how this came out. Not sure why I was inspired to watercolor, I don't usually like to do that! I stamped the image in Memento ink on Whisper White. First I used my Old Olive and Calypso Coral markers to color the darker areas. Then I grabbed a blender pen and added lighter colors. I used my Basic Black marker to add a center dot to the flowers. Since I didn't have any ribbon that matched, I grabbed the stamp in this set that resembles ribbon or Washi tape and stamped it twice near the bottom in Old Olive. I stamped the oval element in Calypso Coral and added the Friend in Basic Black. I cut that out and attached over the Old Olive with dimensionals. The Whisper White background is layered onto Old Olive, then Calypso Coral and finally onto a Basic Black card base.

Thanks for stopping by today! Product details are below.

You've Got This CTD444

The minute I saw this challenge, I knew I'd be playing! This new In Color, Lemon Lime Twist is making me play along! Green anything isn't usually my thing but I REALLY like this one!!

Here is my card

based on this challenge. Color Throwdown 444

Lemon Lime Twist is a lighter shade than the sketch image, but I think it will be OK! Really a quick and easy card because of the stamp set, You've Got This! I've done a few cards before with it, and it doesn't get much easier!  Card base is Lemon Lime Twist, accent layer of Basic Gray. Card background Shimmery White. the background image is stamped in Lemon Lime Twist, flower over that, and saying bottom right in Basic Gray. Ribbon is Lemon Lime Twist 1/2" Finely Woven Ribbon.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Daisy Thank You!

I was getting catalogs ready to mail out today and thought to myself, I should send a card with these. A few minutes later I was browsing a Demo group on Facebook and found the perfect inspiration. Hint: need to make several cards quick?? Use DSP!! (Designer Series Paper!!)

UPDATE: I just made it back to the stamp room and remembered to check this ribbon. Good news, it isn't retired! It is the NEW 3/8" Mini Chevron ribbon. This one is Crushed Curry, but it also comes in Bermuda Bay and Old Olive!!

Oops! Seems I used a ribbon that is retired! Not sure how I missed that. Actually, I may have "missed" it last year when I purged items. Sorry. I know my recipients won't care but I really try hard to use only current stuff! Guess I haven't gotten to the step where I check that everything in my "current" area is in the new catalog!!

OK. Back to the cards. Using DSP will give you some variety! See the two samples below!!

Basic elements are the same. Paper gives variation!

Stamp set is Daisy Delight. Card base is Daffodil Delight. Old Olive accent layer, Whisper White background with DSP, a sheet from Daisy Delight, layered over. 'Thank You' was stamped at the bottom right corner of the Whisper White in Old Olive. The flowers were punched from sheets of Daffodil Delight. Centers from Old Olive. I stamped the center image in Old Olive on the Old Olive Centers and the stem image in Daffodil Delight on the Daffodil punched flowers. Plain just seemed way too plain! The ribbon is Crushed Curry in color, seems like it might be Seam Binding from a previous catalog. The "flower center" was attached to one flower, then that flower was attached to the second. The whole flower item is attached to the card with a Stampin' Dimensional.

Love it! Thanks for stopping by!! Contact me if any questions!!
