Meadow Bubble

Happy Saturday all! I snuck in a quick creation last night! Sometimes it is good for my sanity :)

I browsed a few current challenges before I went up and settled on the color challenge at TGIF Challenges. Here is my card

And their challenge colors.

Bubble Bath, Vanilla and Real Red. I have a sample for inspiration that resembles this but very different colors. I used the retired Watercolor Shapes for the background, some are Bubble Bath, some are Real Red stamped off once. Over that I stamped the floral image from Quiet Meadow and the saying in Early Espresso. Card base is Bubble Bath, accent layer of Early Espresso and background is Very Vanilla. I added some Wink of Stella to the flowers along with some Bubble Bath ink, and then red rhinestones under the saying and in the flower centers. Not too bad!! Not colors either I would normally gravitate too! Good reason to try a challenge - get out of your comfort zone!!

Have a GREAT weekend all! I'm battling the stamp room today. Trying to organize and purge in advance of moving and getting house ready to show. Wish me luck!

Magenta Artistic

Hey, all! Happy Thursday. Here is another card with the Artistically Inked set. I've admired this one all year, finally pulled it out and used it! Mailed several of these earlier this week, hopefully they've been received!!

Colors inspired by this Color Challenge at TGIF Challenges. Love these colors together!!

I stamped 3 flowers in Magenta Madness on the Shimmery White background. Added Soft Suede centers and then Bumblebee smaller flowers. I then filled in the edges with the splatter piece (long narrow) by stamping off once with Soft Suede and filling in the open white areas around the edge. Also added dots in Soft Suede to the center of the Bumblebee flowers and the lighter Soft Suede filled areas. Ribbon is Bumblebee Gingham. Shape the "thanks" is on is from the Potted Succulents die set. It is attached with dimensionals over the ribbon. Champagne Rhinestones for accent in the flower centers. Stamped background layered on to an accent of Soft Suede then the Magenta Madness card base.

Butterflies #TGIFC210

Good Morning all! More stamping time for me last night! This time the color challenge at TGIF Challenges caught my eye.

#TGIFC210 Crumb Cake, Petal Pink and Pool Party.

The card above has Pool Party as the base, the one below Petal Pink. I couldn't decide so I did one of each!! And I really like them both!

I reached for the Butterfly Gala and Beauty Abounds sets. Crumb Cake is the accent layer behind a Whisper White background. On the background I stamped the large circles in Crumb Cake, small circles in either Pool Party or Petal Pink, splatters in all 3 colors- some stamped off once. Butterflies were stamped on a separate piece of Whisper White and then punched. I colored them with sponge daubers - Petal Pink in the center, Pool Party around the edge. I also brushed them with Wink of Stella. It doesn't show in the scans but is very pretty in real life!

Thanks for stopping by today! Hoping to spend more time in the stamp room later. Shopping links and product details below.

Painted Harvest Thanks!

I know. I keep saying I'm going to try something else, and I keep coming back with MORE Painted Harvest! It just works!

I was playing last night and looked at a few challenges. This one just screamed for Painted Harvest. Especially since I just got the Burlap Background to go with it! Here is my card

Based on this Challenge from TGIF Challenges.  Crumb Cake, Crushed Curry and Cherry Cobbler!

The card base is Cherry Cobbler. Accent layer of Crushed Curry. Background is Very Vanilla that was stamped with the Burlap Background in Crumb Cake. At the bottom is the saying in Cherry Cobbler. I sponged the edge with Crushed Curry before attaching, then knotted a Burlap ribbon around both layers. The flowers were stamped on Very Vanilla and "fussy cut". I don't do that often, but it was a good distraction from my football game that wasn't going my way!! The flowers were stamped Crumb Cake for the center, then the background layer of Crushed Curry. Twice actually. Turn the stamp a quarter or half turn for the second. Then Cherry Cobbler for the front layer. The center actually has Wink of Stella brushed over it but it doesn't show well in the scan. I attached the flowers with dimensionals and then added 3 leaves in Crumb Cake behind them.
