Still Here

Seems like quite often my posts start with "sorry it's been so long!". Here's another one of those! It's been a busy few weeks around here! With regular work & chores, taxes to finish up, outside work to do, traveling, & getting sick, I haven't stamped much at all!! I do have one creation to share though. Hopefully I'm past this busy spell, and can get back to creating and sharing regularly. I have quite a few new things to try out so maybe that will help motivate me!!

Here is a Thank-You card I made a few weeks back. My husband works in the cattle industry and I looked high and low before finding authentic, realistic cow stamps. I'm hoping to make up a stash of cards for him to have at the office that he or coworkers can use when needed. For a fee of course! LOL!!

My scanner still isn't cooperating very well, so the colors may not appear correctly. The base is Bravo Burgundy, with Sahara Sand at the bottom. I stamped a Barbed Wire Background in Burgundy on the Burgundy. I believe I got the background from Cornish Heritage Farms, but I'm not sure if it's still available. I got the cows from them too, but I know they don't carry those anymore. This image and several others are available from the creator though, at Sutter Stamps. The cows were stamped on Naturals White CS with Stazon Jet Black Ink. I layered that on a piece of Basic Black CS and added a layered photo corner punch with the Sand & Burgundy accented with Black Brads.
Thanks for stopping by, and I hope to be back soon!

LOVE your card! You did an awesome job picking out a cow image - this one looks great! Good luck finding more! I have the same trouble with horse images :-)
