It's Thursday again, got your lab coat?? For the ColorLab of course!! Fun Valentine colors this week-make sure you stop and play along!! Of course, you could do something other than Valentine's too :) I didn't have that much creative brain power so Valentine's it is for me! Here are the colors
Real Red, Very Vanilla and Crumb Cake
Here is my creation! Came out pretty close to what I was picturing in my head-don't ya love that??
Card base is Real Red with a Very Vanilla layer behind the Crumb Cake background. I tried a new to me technique on this, I believe called Inlaid Embossing. I started with a piece of Crumb Cake card stock and attached hearts all over it. My hearts were punched from Real Red Card Stock, Very Vanilla Card Stock, Red Glimmer Paper and the Real Red stripes & dots DSP from the Filled with Love bundle. After attaching the hearts, I ran the Crumb Cake through the Big Shot in the Square Lattice embossing folder. Now, if I had stopped to think before running it through, it would have been the other way. To me, this is more the debossed side, but it works. Finally, I layered the "LOVE" in the center and attached the "Be My Valentine" and one more Red Glimmer Heart.
Note: I just re-read the SU! website. I used the Filled with Love set, thinking the bundle was still available. That is not correct. The bundle and the stamp set are no longer available, but the DSP pack is. Love Patterns, 12 12x12 sheets in Real Red and Pretty in Pink. 124156 $9.95. Through 2/14/11. Next time I'll check before using a set I'm not sure about :)
