Strength & Hope

I should be working on my taxes, but just wasn't feeling it! So, I took a creative break. Well, I've not actually gotten started this weekend so I guess it's not really a break-ha!

Anyway, I've been browsing through some of my favorite challenges now that my schedule is a little more free, and found this fun sketch at Stampin' Royalty.

Here is what I came up with featuring a sneak peek of an upcoming set, Strength & Hope. This set is in the Summer Mini and Stampin' Up! will be donating $2 from the purchase of each set to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation. The set is available in Wood, Clear and even as a Digital Kit. Love it!

Card base is Blushing Bride with a Basic Gray accent layer behind a Very Vanilla background. On the background I stamped a word stamp from the set in Blushing Bride. It has a variety of encouraging words together such as: courage, hope, support, strength. I sponged the edge with Blushing Bride. Two DSP strips are attached as in the sketch. The butterfly was stamped twice in Blushing Bride. Once on a Very Vanilla panel layered over Basic Gray and Blushing Bride. And again on a scrap and cut out. After I curled him on my paper piercer (of course!!), I attached him with a dimensional. I added a strip of pearls for accent. Near the bottom, two strips of Very Vanilla Taffeta ribbon criss-cross. The Hope image was stamped in Blushing Bride on Vanilla and punched with the 1-1/4" punch, layered on a 1-3/8" Blushing Bride, and attached with dimensionals. A small Paper Daisy was attached next to it with a Pearl in the center.
