Sketch Frenzy Friday 061011

Friday! That means another Sketch Frenzy Friday sketch challenge and mini tour!! I struggled with this one, not sure why. Think I'm just having an off week!! Finally got something that I can live with!! Here is my card

based on this sketch brought to us by Deb Currier

This card is a sneak peek of two of the new In Colors. Pool Party and Island Indigo. The card base is Pool Party. I chose the set Simple Friendship. The outline flower is stamped randomly on the base with Whisper White Craft Ink. I cut a scallop circle from Island Indigo and layered on a 3" Circle of Whisper White. On the circle I stamped "true friend" at the bottom in Island Indigo. The butterfly was stamped on another piece of Whisper White in Island Indigo and cut out. I curled the wings slightly over my paper piercer and attached with dimensionals under the body. I punched a Scallop Ribbon of Pool Party and attached across the circle element.

Beautiful! Love the punch layered at the bottom! This was one of my favorite sets.

So glad someone else struggled with it too. I like how yours turned out.

Love this...really pretty, and a neat sketch to use! I really like your scalloped circle that highlights the circle and butterfly. What a neat idea to use the butterfly rather than a flower!
