Thinking Quiet Meadow

Hey all. Busy times here with Spring weather. And that late tax date didn't help me either!

Made a card last Sunday and just now getting it posted. :( Sorry, hopefully it will get better. I can hope anyway. My garden is planted and all flowers are in. I just have to maintain and deal with the "spoils" once they arrive :)

Here is my first attempt with the new set Quiet Meadow.

Inspired by the sketch last week at Freshly Made Sketches. It is now closed so I'm not entering the challenge, but it is linked if you want to click over and see all the lovely ideas! Here is the sketch.

Also inspired by an old color challenge at CAS I found calling for Daffodil Delight, Basic Gray and Smoky Slate *click the link to see all the creations. It took me a few tries to get a background I like, but I do like how this one came out. First, the card base is Basic Gray with an accent layer of Daffodil Delight and background of Whisper White. On the White I stamped the words and flowers with Smoky Slate. I went over it all with dots stamped off once with Basic Gray. I grabbed a dauber and Daffodil Delight for the small flowers and large flower centers lightly. I textured the entire image once complete with the Tasteful Textile folder. The flower image was stamped on a separate piece of Basic White in Basic Gray. I daubered over the flowers with Daffodil Delight. The saying "shape" is cut from the coordinating die set Meadow Dies, as is the Daffodil Delight butterfly.  Flower image, tag saying and butterfly all attached with dimensionals.

Thanks for stopping by. Need a wedding card so may be trying to create shortly! No idea if I have one in my stash. Doubtful!! So, I may be back soon :) Product details and shopping links below as usual. Happy Spring all, and Happy Stamping!
