Card a Day Four

Howdy all, happy weekend! It is HOT here, or maybe HUMID is what is making it awful outside! Did my walk earlier, staying in now! Back with more cards from the May challenge!

Day 16, Funny/Pun card

Back to the chickens! Totally different set, this one is called Best of Cluck! Fun Daffodil Delight DSP, Real Red accents. Colored the bird with markers!

Day 17, Food & Drink

Oh, this was fun! Can't believe I waited this long to break out this set! Celebratory Sips Suite from last year. The DSP has a couple sheets with the "drink images", rectangles of color that you can stamp a glass over and then die cut! I did two similar but a little different to resemble wine. I actually stamped and cut a bunch so hopefully I can make up some more cards soon! Love the colors here and the general look of how it all came together! Wine is our thing and we have LOTS of friends I can send this sort of card to!

Day 18, Bright & Cheery

Back to the Floral Charm DSP. This is still available and I don't see it marked as last chance! Very pretty floral patterns in this pack! My first use of Timid Tiger and I really like it! Accent Mossy Meadow. The Timid Tiger die is from the Poppy set a few years back. Circle is from Stylish Shapes.

Day 19, Throwback

Throwback meaning a retired set. I've mostly used those, but I was happy to pull this one out and have some play time! Also, that background die? Top Note! One of the very first we had when Big Shots first came to Stampin' Up! Definitely a favorite! The set, Upsy Daisy. Also a favorite! Also required to do this, at least for me, a stamp positioner! My Stamp-a-ma-jig lives front and center on my desk! I stamped the flower image first in Crumb Cake on the Top Note, then a second time a little higher in Blackberry Bliss. Shadow effect! Card base is Blackberry, double layer with embossed dots behind the Top Note.

Day 20, Kids Card (Bright & Cheery)

Bug Builders in all the bright colors! I've been known to add eyelets to these bugs but didn't get that crazy today! Black bugs, Real Red, Blueberry Bushel, Daffodil Delight, Timid Tiger & Granny Apple Green accents!

Card a Day Three

Sorry, got busy the last few days! Here is the Third group of cards, for days 11-15!

Day 11, Scrapbuster

Grabbed some retired DSP and punched a bunch of scallop circle. Attached those to a Basic White background piece and then textured it with the (now sold out) Dotted Circles 3D folder. Softens the look and almost blends it together? Card base is Melon Mambo, accent of Daffodil Delight. Retired small scallop stamp in the center in Melon Mambo!

Day 12, No Stamping!

This could be a challenge, but we have dies that cut sayings, and we also have a decent selection of ephemera these days! I'm not generally a fan, but it works in this case! Sunflower 3D folder on Two-tone Crushed Curry, the lighter side. Sanded it, added a Basic Black layer and a retired ribbon also in Black. Curshed Curry cardstock base.

Day 13, Animal Theme

Cue the chickens! I've had lots of animal stamps over the years, but haven't kept very many! But I seem to have several featuring chickens, including this one, actually I think it is two. Hey Chick and Hey Birthday Chick! So fun!! Grabbed some bright DSP and coordinated the chicken and rest of the card to that! Poppy Parade base, So Saffron (retired) accent. Markers were used to color the bird and cupcake. Colors in that DSP: Poppy Parade, So Saffron, Wild Wasabi, Baja Blue & Blushing Bride.

Day 14, Black & White with a pop of color

Purple is always the right answer in my house! So, I grabbed Highland Heather and the Nature's Symphony bundle and got to work! Dotted Circles again on the background. Probably Blends on the butterfly? Love this card, and so many colors would work!

Day 15, Fun Fold Friday!

This isn't a fancy fold by any means, just opens in the middle instead of top or bottom! Flirty Flamingo in color, DSP from the recent Product of the Month, Painted Illusions!

Card a Day Two

Days 6 through 10! More cards, hopefully more inspiration! I've thoroughly enjoyed this! Hunting through to find the perfect set, colors, and embellishments! Creating comes easier when you do it (almost) every day!

Day 6, Masculine

An old favorite, single image Sail Away. Crumb Cake, Lost Lagoon & Real Red. Very Vanilla background, textured with an embossing folder, added a wooden craft frame to the sandwich so the center was untextured. Spritzed and sponged on color. Added color to the boat image with markers. Red twine, punch accent for saying.

Day 7, Get Well

Dandelion Wishes in Strawberry Slush. Colored the stamp with markers so the flowers were different than the stem! Tone on tone, Strawberry background textured with a polka dot folder, Basic Gray accent layer. Strawberry Slush ribbon and dots.

Day 8, Graduation

Actually used this one! High School color was purple - my favorite :) Gorgeous Grape. Retired graduation sets. Click to enlarge and see the sparkly stars I added! Purchased off the Last Chance list not long ago. Banner is from Stylish Shapes (current). Added a black accent behind it by cutting a second banner out of black, cutting it in half and attaching behind.

Day 9, Monochromatic

Cloud Cover! It is becoming a favorite color! Mostly current - maybe all? Nature Walk DSP for the background, Nature's Symphony stamped on the background, and a die cut with the coordinating die set. Cloud ribbon and pearls. The die is from the Perennial Postage set, Just a Note is from Lovely Arrangements!

Day 10, Your Choice

Recently broke into the Floral Charm DSP so used it for this day, along with the now retired Charming Day bundle. DSP is still available! Petal Pink card base, Pretty Peacock accent layer. Banner from Stylish Shapes. Stamped the flower and used the coordinating die, then colored with Blends in Petal Pink, Mossy Meadow & Pretty Peacock. Retired Petal Pink ribbon and some pearl accents!
