Birthday Leaves

Couldn't resist one more! Was looking to make some birthday cards and came across a color challenge that was perfect for these leaves!! Maybe the last one, I moved on to something else yesterday that has no leaves :) Here is my card

Inspired by this color challenge at Color Throwdown

My Stampin' Up Colors are Crushed Curry, Cherry Cobbler and Pretty Peacock. These die cut leaves are a bit tedious, but now that I've got my fine tip glue functioning it will go faster! Also, get a Silicone Mat to keep the glue off the work surface!! Sticky spots make me crazy!! Card base is Pretty Peacock, accent layer of Cherry Cobbler, Very Vanilla background. I stamped the splatter image twice with Crushed Curry, then layered outline leaves in Pretty Peacock and die cut stamped leaves in Cherry Cobbler. Fine tip glue for the outline leaves, Mini Dimensionals on the Cherry ones. Crushed Curry bow in the center, attached with glue dots over the stems in the middle. Happy Birthday from Simply Said.

Thanks for stopping by! We're off to K-State football later (go Cats!) and need to get some chores done first! There is a project on my table so hopefully I'll be back soon!

Thinking of you Leaves

Needed a card for a friend today, so I reached for this beautiful leaf set from a few years back, Gorgeous Leaves and the coordinating die set Intricate Leaves! One can never have too many leaves for fall creations :)

I wanted this one fairly clean and simple and this is what I came up with!

Colors are Pecan Pie, Pumpkin Pie and Coastal Cabana. Base is Pecan, accent of Pumpkin behind a background of Very Vanilla. I stamped the splatter image in Coastal Cabana in the center, then layered over a die cut leaf in Pecan and a stamped Pumpkin leaf also die cut with an outline image. I used fine glue for the Pecan leaf and mini dimensionals for the Pumpkin leaf. A braided linen trim bow for accent and saying from Everyday Greetings in Pecan.

Thanks for stopping by today! More creations to come :) Details links below for current items used!

Merlot Leaves - Sneak Peek!

Hey all, Surprise :) I'm still here! Summer is kicking us this year. Too many things to list but we are enjoying a "nothing to have to do" weekend and I made it to the stamp room! I might have ignored everything outside today but it will be OK - it finally cooled off!

When it's been awhile, I like to browse through challenges to get inspiration and see if anything clicks. I have new sets from the upcoming catalogs, and leaves and fall colors always work well for me!

So, introducing the Gorgeous Leaves Bundle which includes the Gorgeous Leaves stamp set and Intricate Leaves dies in Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla and Merry Merlot. Merlot speaks to me too, in may ways 💜💜💜

Note: I can't link all product details below because the new Mini Catalog isn't "LIVE" yet, but I will try and come back with those next week. You can always email me with questions!! Mini and another round of Sale-A-Bration start Tuesday August 3rd!!

I had an old color challenge from Color Throwdown hanging around, here is the graphic.

From last October, and I may have used it previously, but it worked for me today too. Kraft, Cream and Cranberry. Or in Stampin' Up! colors, Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla and Merry Merlot.

These new leaves are great, **and** the set has splatters! Another favorite! I used the larger splatter image twice in Crumb Cake on the Very Vanilla background layer. Card base is Merry Merlot with a Crumb Cake accent. I stamped 3 leaves in Merry Merlot on an Very Vanilla piece and cut them out with the coordinating dies. I also cut 3 of the outline leaf images from Merry Merlot. The sayings are from a new set in the annual catalog called Biggest Wish (page 63). Hello is in black, Friend in Merry Merlot. I added the stamped leaves with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals and the outline leaves with Fine Tip glue. The ribbon is also in the new Mini and trust me when I say - you need this! So pretty and so easy to tie! Some are stiff and hard to tie, this one is very flexible and easy to use. Gold Shimmer Ribbon, page 45.

I think that's it? Happy to have created something, and headed back to the stamp room for the evening. No promises though that anything else comes out of there!! Limited product details below, I will edit next week to include all the new goodies :) Happy weekend all!
