Last Day of SAB - Darling Donkey Flower Friend

Morning all! Hope you're having a GREAT weekend. Our weather has turned from cold and frightful to almost Spring like. We had thunder, lightning and some rain last night! The snow is almost gone - yeah!

Today is the LAST day of Sale-A-Bration!! Seems like it went fast, and I guess it did compared to the last few years!! So, I used a couple of SAB FREE items on these cards today, Darling Donkeys and the Flower & Field DSP. Online ordering until 11:50 pm MT. Let me know if I can help with anything today! Are these not just adorable? And very quick and easy. And sadly, I will admit to not liking this paper at first glance. But it has grown on my over the last two months of seeing samples. These are totally copied from another demo! I cut the whole pack of paper last night and intend to use it all to make quick and easy cards using this Donkey or some of the Chicks. Why not??

OK, to the details! I chose coordinating colors from the DSP. Card base is Cherry Cobbler, accent of Flirty Flamingo. Rectangle of Basic White cut with the Stitched Rectangle dies. Donkey stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento and colored with Blends. They are just a little different. The top one has Flirty Flamingo for the earns, note and feet, Cherry for the rose, Crumb Cake for the body and a touch of Mossy Meadow for the flower stem. The second one has Petal Pink for the nose and feet instead of Flamingo. I put a touch of Stella on the flower, stamped the saying in Cherry, and attached with Dimensionals over the ribbon. The top is a retired ribbon in Petal Pink, the second is a current Organdy in Petal Pink. Last accent, 3 rhinestones each.

 Morning all, just a few notes and reminders!

March!!

Wow, March! Hopefully that means Spring weather soon. Too much cold and snow here now!!

OK, updates.

March Host code is in the right side bar and pinned at the top of my Facebook Page. Use for a chance to win Hostess Benefits if we get a total of $150 or more.

The Occasions Catalog is still in effect through June 3rd. Same ending date for the Annual Catalog. We'll start seeing retiring lists probably in April. One thing for sure that will be exiting are the 2017-2019 In Colors: Powder Pink, Lemon Lime Twist, Tranquil Tide, Berry Burst & Fresh Fig. Get those items NOW!!

One other major change: the wood mount stamp option is going away at the end of this Annual Catalog. Going forward we will have Photopolymer and Cling Mount only. Cling Mount are the red rubber that stick to clear blocks. And they do stick! Read instructions for mounting - you won't get a second chance at the label!!

Sale-A-Bration continues through March and we now have additional options! The Original Brochure items are still available except the Ribbon Combo pack, Butterfly Elements and Foil Sheets that have sold out. Remember also that we have two levels of goodies - $50 and $100!! Updates!!

As promised, updates! Lots of info, read all the way through!!

First, with the end of the year will be the end of the Holiday Catalog. Actually, it goes through January 2 so there is a little time. Some items are retiring, some will be carried over, some are on sale! My suggestion is to CLICK INTO my store here, then on the Year-End tab on the left side. You'll then see a link for retiring, and discounted. If something isn't on either list, it should be carrying over. For instance, all the Stampin' Blends that were introduced in the catty will still be available. Any questions on that, ask me!

Next, Stampin' Up! announced at OnStage in November that going forward Wood-Mount stamps will no longer be available. And, that the current "Clear-Mount" will be upgraded to Cling stamps. So choices moving forward will be Photopolymer and Cling. The current Annual Catalog still has wood through May. After that those that carry over will transition to Cling. Cling starts with the NEW Occasions and Sale-A-Bration catties that are headed your way NOW!! Here is a fun video from the home office!

More details soon on this as you'll want to be very careful how you adhere your label so you don't damage them. These are the same GREAT Red Rubber you love from Stampin' Up! but new and improved Cling!!

Third, if you've been around Stampin' Up! for long you know that January brings a NEW Occasions Catalog and Sale-A-Bration!  Catties should be arriving in your mail box. I got my SAB one before Christmas, and the Occasions just this week. Here is what the Sale-A-Bration catalog looks like:

Open House Bloomin' Marvelous

Howdy all! Finally-a card from Open Houses last weekend! Great to see those of you who were here!!

OK, on to the card which happens to use one of the GREAT FREE sets from SAB! I must first say that I was a little lacking in time and therefore creativity, so all the cards are based on an idea that someone else shared! This one was CASED from Dawn Olchefske HERE. Loved the colors, and it got me to try the Lace Tape!! Here is my version

The card base is Pool Party with an accent of Rich Razzleberry behind the Whisper White background. The stamp set used is Bloomin' Marvelous, one of the FREE choices during Sale-A-Bration. We stamped the flowers in Rich Razzleberry, some off once. Leaves in Pool Party. The butterflies were stamped with Island Indigo on a separate piece of Whisper White and punched with the Bitty Butterfly punch. The Lace Tape is in the Spring Mini. Delicate Details Lace Tape to be exact! It comes in two patterns. Quite fun, and easy to work with! We attached it to a strip of Rich Razzleberry and knotted a piece of Island Indigo ribbon (also a FREE SAB item from the Sycamore Street Ribbon & Button Pack) around. The strip was placed just above the lower flowers. We added a saying above that, then butterflies. The butterflies were attached with a small piece of Stampin' Dimensional and we added small Rhinestones for bling!

Happy Friday again all! Hope you've had a good week and have plans for the weekend!! Friday means another Sketch Frenzy Friday challenge and mini tour. Here is my card

based on this sketch by Tammy Fite.

 

Great sketch isn't it?? The possibilities are endless!! My card base is Soft Suede with an accent layer of Calypso Coral behind a DSP print in Calypso Coral. The DSP is from the Everyday Enchantment pack and is one of the items you can earn FREE during Sale-A-Bration (starting the 24th!!). The "flower" stamp I used is also from a SAB set, Fresh Vintage. And as you may have guessed by now, the ribbon and brads are also from a SAB choice: an Everyday Enchantment Ribbon and Brad pack. 5 different brads, two colors of ribbon. This is Calypso Coral, the other is Lucky Limeade. Aren't new things fun?? The "Happiness" is from the new word set, Loving Thoughts in the Occasions Mini.
