True Blue Pop-up Petals

Howdy all! Made some time to create yesterday! Enough with taxes and office stuff :)

Grabbed the True Blue Floral DSP (December Product of the Month) and then decided to combine it with the Pop-Up Petals set flowers and the dies from the Textured Notes set. Love those textured rectangles!! The colors on the True Blue pack say just Night of Navy and Balmy Blue. I knew Navy would pop with the right colors.

First up, Darling Duckling!

I really like this one, and we have several yellows that would work. My first thought was Crushed Curry, but then I saw Darling Duckling. Daffodil Delight would work, maybe also Lemon Lolly!

Card base is Night of Navy, accent layer of Darling Duckling. Background DSP. Two frames cut with the Textured Notes dies layered together. Pop-Up Petals flower pot in navy, flower stamps stamped Navy, flowers in Balmy Blue, centers in Darling Duckling. Accent dots are from the 2025-2027 In Color Flat Pearls. Happy Birthday is from the Simply Said set. That rectangle is also in the Textured Notes die set.

**Textured Notes is on the Last Chance list! There is a great set it goes with, or you can get just the dies. But do NOT delay!!

Next, I wanted to go pink and Strawberry Slush was the first one I saw!

Exact same layout here, same DSP background. Flowers are stamped with Cloud Cover to be a little lighter, and Strawberry Slush centers, accent layers and pearls!

My stamping desk is a mess but I'm OK with that! I am excited to play more with this set, and the DSP! and whatever else grabs my eye :)

Remarkable Friends

Howdy all! Been awhile over here, we got busy :) Definitely no boredom in retirement!! First Spring here so many projects on our to do list!! I have still been working through past Paper Pumpkin and kits. Made a few cards last night for friends so sharing one here!

This is a relatively new Online Exclusive set, You Are Remarkable. It caught my eye and I had to have it! I've also been feeling the need to color so it works for that! I need lots of practice with water coloring! I actually did these twice as I ended up not liking the first ones.

Pecan Pie card base, background of Daffodil Delight. Watercolor paper layer for the flower. Both the flower layer and the Daffodil Delight are cut with dies from the Textured Notes set. I water colored the flower with the Daffodil Delight pencil with a few accents of Crushed Curry. Pecan Pie in the center with a little Early Espresso. Old Olive for the leaves and stems. Retired ribbon knotted around the flower.
