Blue Sunflower

And another sunflower! I might be hooked!! Can't wait to find more time to play with other colors!

Same process as the last post, different colors. This one is Lemon Lolly, Lemon Lime Twist and Crumb Cake for the coloring and I went over it all with Misty Moonlight! This one feels light and cheery! So fun!!

If you didn't see the last post, I've colored the "debossed" side (indent, not raised side!) with blends before going over the entire card front with the Misty Moonlight ink pad. Take it at an angle, make sure it is a foam pad, and drag top to bottom. Go twice if need be, and work your way across the card in "stripes"! Try it, you will love it!

More to share so I will be back soon! Have a GREAT day all - be creative, stamp stamp stamp!!

Debossed Sunflower

Hey all, it has been a minute! Sorry! But I was very creative yesterday and will have several things to share this week! First up, this lovely sunflower card! Everyone needs a sunflower in January :)

How fun right? Just a bit of time, and a little messy but otherwise straightforward. Emboss your cardstock in the Sunflower folder, then turn over to the debossed side. The indent, not the raised. Color in the "low" areas. Anything that is raised will get inked with the pad later, and likely some of what you color. But look at the petals, centers, leaves. I used Blends, I assume regular markers would work too. They are a little more intense and hard to direct to certain areas. Blends also give you light and dark. I may give it a shot though, later this week and see! I used Daffodil Delight light and dark for the petals, Old Olive for the leaves, and Crumb Cake in the flower centers.

Then I went over it all with my Early Espresso ink pad. A foam pad is going to work best and a fairly well inked one. Not over inked as that will likely just bleed everywhere! I laid it down sideways (shorter) on scratch paper, and with the pad at an angle, so the top edge is catching the cardstock but not the entire pad, went top to bottom twice in one spot, then moved over. About 3 "stripes" will cover all. You can repeat anywhere you need to. Angle your pad just a tad and don't have a heavy hand. Let it sit and dry for several minutes!! I love it and can't believe I waited this long to try it!

The folder is on my desk so I hope to play more! I have one more to share later plus several other cards as well. So check back this week!

There are many things going on at Stampin' Up! right now! I haven't shared any here but as of last Tuesday there is a New Mini Catalog, new Online Exclusive Items, 3 new kits, a new Product of the month *AND* its Bonus Days! Earn a $5 coupon to use next month with a $50 purchase this month!

Pear Thank you

Hey all! Finished some cards this week! We're ready for Christmas aside from cooking so I've taken some time to get back on track in the stamp room! Finishing projects I've started before I start any new!

I started these quite a while ago, when this set was much newer to me. Unfortunately, parts of the Suite are now on the Last Chance list! I've linked all below, so click to get to my store! Very fun creation, using accent dies, DSP and dies for the stamps! Card base is Darling Duckling, background is DSP. Pears were inked with Darling Duckling, then daubered on some Old Olive. Die cut the pears and leaves and attached to a square cut with the Stylish Shapes die set. The banner is also from that set! Darling Duckling accent dots finish the card. Oh, and check out that ribbon. Dual sided, the other side features more green (Mossy Meadow) while this side is gold!

These will be hitting the mail after Christmas, don't want them to get lost :) Product details and links below! Thanks for stopping by!!
