CCJC6 Glitter Sweet Pea

Last minute as usual, entering the weekly challenge at Create with Connie & Julie. I had the inspiration yesterday while on my elliptical, but couldn't find the time to create until tonight. Here is the sketch:

and here is what I did with it:

I realized when I went to scan that I didn't stamp anything on here! Oh well, guess that's OK. I just didn't think a saying was going to look right anywhere. Card base is Chocolate Chip. Background is Sweet Pea DSP from the Occasions Mini. For the stripes, first I added the two horizontal stripes by putting down Sticky Strip and applying Chocolate Stampin' Glitter from the Fine Supernova set. Next I put the Chocolate Chip satin ribbon down then added Sticky Strip stripes on each side and applied Aqua glitter to those. I have glitter everywhere and will probably still be sparkling tomorrow! Of course I can't find my Embossing Buddy or it would have been less sticky!! The Chocolate Chip flower was punched using the new Extra Large Fancy Flower punch on Textured Chocolate Chip CS. The Cherry Blossom Embosslit was used on Taken with Teal CS for the next layer of flower. Lastly, I put a jumbo Glue Dot in the center and applied the Pink glitter from the same set, Supernova. The leaves were cut from Old Olive CS with the Little Leaves Sizzlet.

That makes it a day for me! Hoping I can sleep as 5:30 will be here all too soon!!! Happy Friday all!!

You got some great inspiration while on your eliptical!! I laughed a little bit when I read that, because for some reason I always think of my best ideas while taking a shower...maybe because it's the only quiet place in the house?!?!? Anyway, your card is great! This makes a perfect card for almost any occasion since there's no stamped sentiment!

I am not a glitter girl - but I did buy some and it has been sitting on my desk for weeks. Now you have given me some ideas on how to use it! Thanks for sharing.

Great card, Jennifer...glitter is ALWAYS good in my mind! I must dream about stamping, but a lot of times I wake up with ideas!
