SSC159 Friend

Took a break tonight from Open House planning (never mind that I've just barely gotten started-LOL!) to play along with the Stamping 411 sketch of the week. When I saw the sketch, I thought DSP for the layers and I had a few new packages to choose from! Here is the sketch:

and here is what I came up with:

I settled on the Love Letter DSP which features the colors Basic Black, Riding Hood Red & Very Vanilla. The card base is Basic Black, followed by two layers of DSP, large dots in Riding Hood Red, small dots in Basic Black. The center layers is just Riding Hood Red cardstock that I put through the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder. I layered the backgrounds together and then had trouble finding a stamp that seemed to work! I settled on the butterfly from Flores Suaves (in the Spanish catalog). It was stamped in Black Stazon and colored with a blender pen and Riding Hood Red ink. Not the worlds best watercoloring! A knotted bow of Basic Black 1/8" Taffeta and the "friend to friend" saying from Teeny Tiny Wishes finishes the card.

That's it for me today-off to hopefully get a good nights rest! Lots of things that need to get done this weekend, and we have baseball tournament games. At least the games are close! Good Luck Crete Pony teams!!
