Sketch Frenzy Friday 111612

Happy Friday all!! Hope you've had a good week with a great weekend on tap!

Here is my Sketch Frenzy Friday creation of the week

based on this sketch by Deb Currier.

This one didn't immediately click for me, but once the Sunflower landed in my head I couldn't get past it! The card base is Early Espresso. The background is Summer Starfruit that I textured in the Big Shot with the Woodgrain Embossing Folder and then dabbed some Early Espresso ink over (lightly with a sponge). Next I stamped the Sunflower in Early Espresso on Naturals Ivory that I had cut to the desired size. I grabbed a blender pen and added Summer Starfruit ink for the petals. In the center I used a dauber to added some Early Espresso. That is attached to an Early Espresso layer and then to the card background. Over that is an Early Espresso banner that I dotted with the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder. Lastly, the saying in Espresso on Naturals Ivory from Blessings from Heaven.

Thanks for stopping by today! Make sure you stop over at Sketch Frenzy Friday to see the other team members' creations!! And, play along!! We LOVE to see what you create!!

Jennifer I just love how boldly beautiful your card is! most folks would have tried to get the sunflower to work on the larger piece. But I just love how you used this background stamp. I love the woodgrain embossing. I think it help pull the card together. and the sentiment rings true! A simply beautiful card and a wonderfully executed design!
I hope you have a wonderful holiday week. Be safe. hugs, sharon w.
