Coral Sheltering Tree

Hey all! Hope you had a GREAT weekend and your Monday has been kind to you! I picked up a mild cold somewhere over the weekend so I took it pretty easy today! I did make some more progress on getting the stamp room & myself organized again! Long ways to go, especially on the room, but I'm feeling like I can create when need be! Hoping to keep it going!!

I thought I was getting this card done in time for the Color Throwdown challenge, but turns out I was wrong! Closing time was Eastern, not Central like me :) Oh well, I linked to them anyway so you can see all the creations over there!!

Here is my card

and their challenge graphic.

Coral, Green and Kraft equates to Calypso Coral, Wild Wasabi and Crumb Cake in the Stampin' Up! world.  I looked at a couple other options, but settled on Sheltering Tree. I meant this to look like a tree blooming in Spring. Hoping to see that soon here in Nebraska!! I stamped the trunk/branches first in Crumb Cake, then added "leaves" in Wild Wasabi. I then stamped the same stamp twice with Calypso Coral, each turned a little off the original. Once right, once left. Photopolymer stamps are GREAT for this! It pretty much pops off the card doesn't it? I also reinked my stamp pads yesterday, so it is a little more inky than I would prefer!! I added the grass, flowers/stems and swing and the saying at the bottom. The ribbon is from the FREE Sale-A-Bration item "Shimmer Ribbon Pack". Pretty awesome set - Basic Gray, Bermuda Bay and Calypso Coral. 5 yards of each. The background layer is Very Vanilla, with both Crumb Cake and Wild Wasabi accent layers on a card base of Calypso Coral. I don't usually do that many layers, but it worked with this one!

Thanks for stopping by again today! Product details and Shopping link below!
