Painted Birthday

Hey all, I'm back! Probably briefly, but it felt good to create last night! I honestly had to relearn a few things on my computer today to get this posted. Ugh. Some update happened awhile back and my scanner isn't set up right. And my browser was being funky. Technology-I'll figure it out later!! Here is the card I created last night.

For inspiration and a starting point I browsed a few challenges. And when not having stamped for a while I reach for a favorite, Painted Harvest. Honestly, I had to relearn it to some degree too. I was struggling to line up the flowers properly. Hint: start with the center!

The challenge I found that clicked was  a color challenge at Inspire. Create. Challenges.

Basic Gray, Mango Melody & Pool Party. Card base is Basic Gray, accent layer of Mango Melody and background of Shimmery White. As I said above, start with the center for the flowers. So I did 5 Basic Gray centers, added the "outside" layer of the flower by stamping off once in Mango Melody. I then added the "inside" layer of the flower in full on Mango Melody. I then went back with the stamped off and rotated it for more accent. Leaves on the background in Pool Party, Basic Gray dots inside the flower and scattered between flowers. 3 of the leaves that coordinate with the Leaf punch were stamped on a separate piece of Shimmery White and punched out. They saying is from Perennial Birthday and cut with the Stitched Rectangle Dies. Pool Party Satin ribbon (retired) knotted around the top layers. Saying and leaves attached with dimensionals.

Thanks for stopping by today! Who knows when I'll be back! Hopefully not too long :) Product details and shopping links below.
