Sorry Sunflowers

Morning all. Hope your weekend is going well! Pretty quiet here and very nice day yesterday.

Here are a couple cards I made last week. I got the Sorry for Everything set while on sale recently. I've been admiring it for a while. I had an idea it would be great for sympathy cards and I was right. And, I'm not apologizing for using Painted Harvest again. They are the perfect combo! Two cards, slight variation in the DSP backgrounds.

Colors on both are Soft Suede, Crushed Curry and So Saffron. The background layer on both is from the retired Wood Textures Designer Series Paper. These were fairly neutral, but gave it just a little texture. Card base is Soft Suede, accent layer of Crushed Curry. I stamped on the DSP in Soft Suede the "Sorry" and "for your loss". Next I added flowers around. So Saffron is the "back" petal, Crushed Curry the "center" petal. Soft Suede centers and random dots, Mossy Meadow leaves. I attached Linen Thread around the end of the card and knotted a piece near the center. Beautiful!

There are LOTS of colors that would work with this, and probably many other flower stamps too. You will see this layout again from me :)

Have a great rest of your weekend and start to your week. I'll be back Wednesday with my creation for the Color Throwdown challenge. Hint, the colors were perfect for me. And, I tried a new stamp set!! Shopping links and product details below. Thanks for stopping by!!
