Hey all, I kinda liked my Throwback idea last week and decided to do another. The retired Sunflower background stamp has been on my mind so I pulled it out. Took a bit of pondering as to what to do - it has been a LONG time! I like what I happened on though, see what you think.
I inked the sunflower with Blackberry Bliss and stamped off to one side on a piece of Sahara Sand. I added Friend from Daisy Lane in Memento Black lower right corner. For the color, I picked up my Wink of Stella and started going over petals. Wow! The color from the stamped image blended with the glitter. For the center I picked up some Sahara Sand from the ink pad and blended that in. Was hoping for a little more color, but the Blackberry was pretty dominant. Very center I added some Shimmery Crystal effects for dimension. After it was dry, I trimmed the Sahara Sand with a Rectangle die and layered onto a Basic Black accent layer. Card base is Blackberry Bliss. #simplestamping
Give this a try! I don't remember ever doing this before, or seeing it. It does use a decent amount of Stella for this large a stamp, but smaller flowers or images wouldn't be bad.
