Always and Forever!

Hey all! Hope you are all doing well! Pretty good here :) I have managed to create a few things lately, just haven't found the time to share. Here is one, a wedding card I did last week. I actually did a different card first, then realized the card should somewhat match the paper and I hadn't looked to see what I have. So, after looking I started over! If I had any general wedding in white or silver, I would have been OK. But I didn't. Everything had a definite color and pattern to it. But I had one that I knew would work with Painted Poppies. The printed paper was very similar to the flower, and the colors were orange and bright pink.

I think it worked well! Colors are Pumpkin Pie, Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight and Basic Black. Card base is Pumpkin, accent of Melon. Shimmery White Cardstock for the background and saying. Painted Poppies stamp set. Saying is from a retired set, Forever Blossoms. I alternated Pumpkin and Mambo solid images, then went over them all with Tuxedo Black Memento ink. Added some Daffodil splatters for accent and to fill white space. Black glitter ribbon, also retired, was knotted around the center then the saying attached with Stampin' Dimensionals. Pretty quick and easy! and hopefully a wow!

Thanks for stopping by today. Product details below. Hopefully more coming soon. I've got some new sets that I actually started working with last night. Hoping to spend most of my afternoon/evening in the stamp room today playing :)

Coastal Thanks

Hey, all! Happy weekend! Hoping you're doing something fun :) Not much here, yet anyway. Feels like I cooked most of yesterday. Good news is I won't have to today or maybe tomorrow!

Here is a card I made and mailed several of last week, thank you cards to all who purchased from me last year. I try to do cards monthly but don't always get it done. This is a good way to get back in to stamping at the start of the year! This is similar to the birthday card I shared last week. Same idea, different colors and words.

Coastal Cabana base, Basic Black accent layer, Basic White background. I stamped the Painted Poppies solid flower image in Coastal Cabana, Gorgeous Grape and Melon Mambo. Over those I stamped the outline flower in Memento Tuxedo Black. The splatter images are also from Painted Poppies and done around the flowers in Coastal Cabana. The "thanks" is from the Biggest Wish set and also stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black. Coastal sequins in varied sizes are scattered around the flowers for the final touch.

Details and shopping links below. Thanks for stopping by today. Hope you get some stamping time in your weekend! Hopefully me too after some office work this morning.

Mango Poppy Birthday

Hey all! Wow, got lost again. I have quite a few things in process upstairs but little getting done. Ran up to get something today and found this card though! Done and totally forgot about it! Kinda how my year is going so far...crazy!

I started working with a similar idea from Pinterest but didn't have the exact stamp so it wasn't working the way I wanted. Went through my stamps and found Painted Poppies. Originally also a thank you card - and there will be some of those to share soon, after they are mailed, in a completely different color palette!

Here is what I came up with. Note to self: reink the ink pads too!

This is very soft and pretty in real life! Would probably be a little more vibrant with properly inked pads! Mango Melody, Daffodil Delight and Flirty Flamingo flowers. Stamped with the solid image in the color, then over with Memento Tuxedo Black. The 'happy' and 'birthday' are from Biggest Wish. Love that set! And amazingly I found some awesome Sequins that matched! Not too complicated :)

Many Poppies!

Hey all! More Poppy cards! I saw something similar on Pinterest and had to give it a go! There are several versions here, all basically the same so I'm going to put them all in one post. Here is the first one.

Colors are Basic Black, Whisper White and Poppy Parade. Concept here is like the Triple Time stamping we've done here several times, but this is only two layers. So I cut all the layers, then lightly attached the two sheets of Whisper White together and stamped the Poppy flower in two steps. Background blot in Poppy Parade, over with the Poppy in Memento Black. Turns out this is one of my slight OCD triggers -lining up that image made me crazy! I ended up grabbing my Stamp-a-ma-jig for the flower and testing on scratch paper the best way to go together. I'm happy now, they are all similar! When you initially stamp these you will get some ugly edges. But when you put the layers together, they disappear. Try it :)

The card base is Basic Black, with a Whisper White background layer. The top two layers are cut with the Stitched Rectangles dies. See that stitched edge?? I added some sequins (Pearl from the Basic set) for an accent. Oh, and the saying is from Peaceful Moments.

Similar but different flower and sequin placement, more white edge.

This last one I decided to try something different, and I don't hate it. After stamping the flowers I picked up the large splatter image and went between most of them with Poppy Parade ink. What do you think?? Building up my stash of birthday cards. Hoping to get lots mailed this year! Four went today, including two of these.
