2021 Calendar part 1

Hey all, remember me? Finally some ink on my fingers today! 😍 Hope your Christmas was wonderful! Different I'm sure as it was for us. Luckily both boys made it home and we had a good time!

I started on my 2021 desk calendar today. History, this started as a Paper Pumpkin kit in 2015 for a 2016 calendar. I did that first year and really liked having it on my desk. Didn't realize there was an option to have it again for 2017 so I got by without. Then I realized someone had made the 2018 calendar and I was back in business! I didn't get a full year done for 2018, 6 of 12, but for 2019 I did a full year using my favorite then set Painted Harvest. 2020 I cheated and didn't start over but redid the calendar parts. I still like this set, but it felt like I should start all over for 2021. No bad karma to continue into next year from 2020!!

So, here is the first half of 2021! I settled on Beauty Abounds for my set. Love these dots!! Note also, these are going to be a little rough. They are just for my desk so I wasn't too worried about perfect. Partly because I forgot to change the printer to a nicer print quality! I also cut these free hand so the corners especially are rough!! And there will be retired items used, especially ribbon!

I stuck with my same color reasoning as from 2019. There will be changes I'm sure. But, for each month I think what color goes with? January is cold, winter, snowy. So blue. This one is Seaside Spray, Pacific Point, Misty Moonlight and Smoky Slate. Large dots are Seaside, small dots in both Pacific and Misty. Splatters in Smoky Slate, some full strength, some stamped off once. Base and accent layer are Misty Moonlight, ribbon is Seaside Spray, background is Whisper White.

February is Valentines day so Red or pink. This is all Poppy Parade. Red is not always a favorite for me, but I do like this Poppy! Always so cheerful! Large dots are all full strength. Small ones are a mix, some full, some off once and maybe twice. Splatters in Smoky Slate. Base and accent layer are Poppy Parade. Retired Poppy Parade striped ribbon.

March, St. Patrick's Day. Green. Not a holiday we celebrate at all, maybe we do corned beef and cabbage but that is it! But I do like the challenge of using green. I went back to an old favorite here, retired color Lemon Lime Twist. Love it! Large circles in Lemon Lime, smaller in Smoky Slate. Splatters over all in Smoky Slate, some full strength, some off once or twice. Retired Lemon Lime ribbon.

April. Generally Easter, so pastel colors come to mind with Easter Eggs. I grabbed my Purple Posy because Purple. Remember this color ink was discontinued because of issues. I'm starting to see variance. It was OK at first, but the ink is definitely more blue now than the cardstock. This is more light than I would have liked too, but I didn't want to start over. All circles stamped in Purple Posy, some splatters with Smoky Slate. White weave ribbon for accent.

May. Things are coming back to life and generally the first flowers I see around here are roses that are bright pink. So I grabbed the In Color Magenta Madness. Not sure I've used it before, but I like it! All dots are full strength Magenta and I added some butterflies to the largest circle. A few light dots in Smoky Slate. Magenta Madness ribbon for accent.

June. This might be my favorite! Summer, Flag Day, Fathers Day. Probably several options there for other colors, but one of my boys was born on Flag Day so Red, White and Blue is my choice here. I did opt for a lighter blue though and I like it. Balmy Blue, Poppy Parade and Whisper White cardstock for the white.  Larger circles in Balmy Blue, smaller for accent in Poppy Parade. No splatters this time for a very clean look! That accent on the 15th will be our 30th Anniversary, wow!! 💜

Thank you for stopping by today! I will have a news update post tomorrow and hopefully the rest of the calendar year soon!

Last Dandelions!

For now anyway, the last Dandelion cards! I see more in my future!! Hope your weekend is going well. Pretty quiet here, and getting more so as college boy just left. No in person anything for him at school, but online class things to work on and his books aren't here!

The sets again are Dandelion Wishes, Beauty Abounds and Peaceful Moments. These two are the same colors, just reversed. Petal Pink, Rococo Rose and Soft Suede on Very Vanilla. This one the card base is Petal, accent layer of Soft Suede. Rhinestone in the center.

This one is Rococo Rose card base, Soft Suede accent layer.

Thanks for stopping by, please ask if you have any questions or if I can help with anything! Hope you are all getting time to craft! Sure helps the mood and time go by! I've gotten some taxes done and we have leftovers for the next two days so I'm very hopeful for stamping time! The recent Paper Pumpkin is partially done on my desk and I'll be browsing challenges for inspiration after lunch! Product details and shopping links below. Stay safe all!

More Dandelion Thanks!

Hey, all. Happy weekend. Realize it may be a weird one with all that is going on. My husband is a news watcher, I am not. Even he said it was all negative stuff this morning! My vote, turn it off! Much prefer some music or nothing in the background! Enough gloom, here's some happy! More Dandelion cards! I sent these as thank you notes this week. 3 here, two more coming.

Same sets as the previous cards, Dandelion Wishes, Beauty Abounds and the Thank You from Peaceful Moments. Colors for this one are Mango Melody, Pool Party and Basic Gray on Whisper White. I'm trying to use more basic Whisper White and Very Vanilla. Seems I reach for Shimmery White most of the time! These all have just the one rhinestone in the center of the flower.

Pineapple Punch, Coastal Cabana, and Basic Gray on Very Vanilla. Not always a fan of yellow but this one is very bright and cheery.

Flirty Flamingo, Pool Party and Basic Gray on Very Vanilla. Thanks for stopping by today! Hoping to get back to the stamp room but it may not be today. Taxes are my priority today, I know - yuck! But gotta get them at least figured. We'll see if we file or not with the recently announced extension. Product details and shopping links below.

Dandelion Birthday!

Be prepared, bombardment coming at you! Love these Dandelion Wishes cards and so many options for colors and sayings!! Here are a couple Birthday ones I did to add to the stash!!

You all know purple is my thing right? All shades?? And, when I find a card layout I like, I keep doing it!! So, above is Highland Heather, Granny Apple Green and Lemon Lime Twist. Somewhere I had saved a color challenge that was lime green, lavender and gray. Flowers and saying are Smoky Slate. Sorry I keep going back to Lemon Lime Twist, but I proved the other day that Granny Apple Green is VERY close. Get that one!! :) Same as the green Smile card, I angled the "dots" from Beauty Abounds across the card, larger circle in Heather, smaller in Lemon Lime, on Whisper White. Flower, floaters and saying in Smoky Slate. Sequin accents in Highland Heather and Lemon Lime Twist. Card base is Highland Heather, accent layer of Smoky Slate.

And secondly, is this not pretty? Do not compare to above. This seems pale at first sight, but is very pretty in real life. Purple Posy and Soft Sea Foam on Whisper White with a Smoky Slate accent layer on a Purple Posy card base. Note: the Purple Posy ink pad was permanently discontinued after the ink repeatedly failed tests by Stampin' Up!. I can't see that mine has a variance, but apparently that happens over time. The regular marker is available, as well as Stampin' Blends if you can't live without this color!! Accent sequins in Pearl and Soft Sea Foam.

Thanks for stopping by today! May be a few days before I post any more. There are more in this layout, but most are Thank You cards that went in the mail today. Will likely give them a few days to arrive before I share! We'll see what future creativity looks like after work today and an off day Thursday. Adjusting to life with college boy in the house, and maybe older son incoming as well. So out of the habit of a full house, but not hating it :) Product details and shopping links below.
