French Foliage Color 3

Morning all! Hope your weekend is going well. All is good here, getting stuff done around the house and in the stamp room :) Love it when the ideas are running around in my head!

Here is the second card I did for the 3rd SU! Color Challenge to #keepstamping.

The retired French Foliage set has always been a favorite and it's been hanging around the stamp table since the last garage sale. I happened to see it the other day and thought it would be perfect with these colors. Pretty Peacock, Pool Party, Crumb Cake and Early Espresso. Very happy with this one!!

I didn't necessarily want the blues to be the primary color, so I went with Early Espresso for the large leaf and started stamping. Added in the rounder leaf in Pool Party and the smaller one in Pretty Peacock. Stamped and alternated until the background was full. Then I grabbed the dots and went all over in Crumb Cake, some full strength, some off once. Once all done I put the entire background through the Subtle Embossing folder. Click to see if you can see the detail, it now looks like textured cardstock. Trimmed to size and added to an Early Espresso accent layer. The Pretty Peacock Scalloped Linen ribbon was the perfect accent before adding to the Pretty Peacock card base. Tag is from the Painted Labels Die set, saying from Peaceful Moments. Attached over the ribbon with Mini Dimensionals.

Thanks for stopping by! #keepstamping I'll be back, I have several more cards in que! I broke into some old things yesterday and I'm having a lot of fun with this! Lots of cards to mail too! Shopping links and product details below!

Fall Colorful Birthday

So, this one has been awhile in the works! Last Fall, somewhere around November I gave something away via Facebook and asked for a Fall Stampin' Up Color Combo. The winner chose Pretty Peacock, Terracotta Tile and Crumb Cake. I was very intrigued and decided to give it a try! Fast forward to this week, and the parts were still sitting on my desk. I decided it was time to finish it! Here it is

Love the way it came out! It's no longer Fall, but I have two birthday cards that will be awesome to send next Fall!

Card base is Pretty Peacock with an accent layer of Terracotta Tile behind the Crumb Cake background. On the background, I stamped the Crackle Paint background in Crumb Cake, large leaves in Pretty Peacock, small leaves in Terracotta Tile and open leaves in Crumb Cake. That is where I stopped in November and I wasn't real sure where it was headed or how I was finishing. Picked it up this week and decided the new tag die would be perfect. From the Painted Labels die set, page 26 in the Mini Catalog. I've used this several times already - it is perfect for adding sayings to cards! So I cut the label from Crumb Cake, stamped the Happy Birthday from Peaceful Moments on the right side and cut a Terracotta Tile leaf for the left side. That is attached with Stampin' Dimensionals over Pretty Peacock 1/2" Scalloped Ribbon which was knotted around the background/base layers.

Poppy Birthday

Morning all, hope your Monday is off to a good start. I'm off and running!! Have some shares coming up this week, spent some time stamping yesterday. Hope to spend more time there this week! January has brought ugly weather with very cold temps, snow and ice so time is best spent inside!!

Here is a bright and cheery card using the new Peaceful Moments Bundle which is the Poppy Moments Dies and Peaceful Moments saying set. The second bundle in the Peaceful Poppies Suite!

This is my first attempt with this die set, and I don't use many like this, at least not often. This came out OK, but needs contrast. Need to play with different colors and see what works together! Primary color here is Poppy Parade. As I've said many times, red is NOT my thing but I do like Poppy Parade! Card base is Poppy. Background is the Mercury Glass Designer Acetate from the Holiday Mini Catalog. I'm a little late on getting to using that! I put Whisper White behind it so the open areas pop. Flower is cut from Poppy Parade in two layers with a Basic Black center. Broke out my fine tip glue pen, maybe for the first time too :) Happy Birthday is from Peaceful Moments and the tag shape it is stamped on is from the Painted Labels die set. Painted Poppy Textured Weave Ribbon is tied around the acetate.

Thanks for stopping by today! Have a few chores to work on, and some tax related bookwork to do, but hoping to at least end the day in the stamp room. Stay tuned on Facebook this week!! Follow me there if you aren't! Shopping links and product details below.
