Another #CTD530

And of course using Painted Harvest! I actually played with this one when creating the other one, but decided I liked the other better. But today I had time to play, so I redid this one. It was just a little off the first time!

Remember the Challenge colors at Color Throwdown are Dark Pink, Gray and Black. #CTD530 #colorthrowdown

My Stampin' Up! color choices were Melon Mambo, Lovely Lipstick, Gray Granite and Basic Black. Card base is Lovely Lipstick, accent layer of Basic Black and background of Shimmery White. On that background I stamped the flowers by using Melon Mambo for the back petal layer, Lovely Lipstick for the center petal, Gray Granite for the center and Tuxedo Memento Black for the dots. Dots are in the center of the center and randomly between flowers - some full strength, some stamped off once and twice. Lovely Lipstick 1/8" Grosgrain was attached around the center. The staying was stamped on an Oval Circle cut with the Stitched Shapes Framelits and attached over the ribbon with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Thanks for stopping by today! I'll be back tomorrow for sure and hopefully a few more times this week. Unexpected weekend at home equals stamping time! I'm working my way towards a workshop next weekend so wish me luck!! Product details and shopping links below.

Southern Serenade #CTD530

Hey all! Welcome!! So excited to get to play along with the team at Color Throwdown this week for Challenge #CTD530 as a previous Featured Stamper! Here are the challenge colors of Fuchsia, Light Gray and Black.

And the card I came up with.

In Stampin' Up! Colors this is Lovely Lipstick, Gray Granite and Basic Black. I flipped through many stamp sets before settling on this one but I like how it came out. My "light gray" wasn't so light though and that was a bit of an issue. The lace image was stamped off once and then onto the Whisper White background in Gray Granite. Over that I stamped the floral image in Tuxedo Black Memento. I colored the leaves/stem with the regular marker in Gray Granite, and the flowers in Stampin' Blend Lovely Lipstick light and dark. Clear Wink of Stella gave me a little shimmer on the flowers and **bonus** I found embellishments to match! Basic Black Faceted Dots for the center of the flowers! Lovely Lipstick 1/8" grosgrain three times around the bottom under the "thank you" circles attached with Mini Dimensionals.

Home to Roost

Hey all, Happy Saturday! I've been working on this card off and on for the last few days. Finally done!

Inspired once again by the Color Challenge at Color Throwdown #CTD529. My first thought was Painted Harvest, but I've already done that in these colors. Next thought, Home to Roost-one of the FREE Sale-A-Bration sets. Here is my card...

based on this challenge of Yellow, Orange and Red.

My Stampin' Up! Colors are Real Red, Pumpkin Pie and Daffodil Delight. Card base is Real Red, with a Pumpkin Pie accent layer, and a background stamped with the Buffalo Check background in Daffodil Delight on Very Vanilla. The roster was stamped on Thick Very Vanilla in Memento Black and colored with Stampin' Blends in Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight and Crumb Cake. Light and Dark of each. He is layered onto Pumpkin Pie and Real Red and attached over the Burlap ribbon with dimensionals. The "just a note" is also from the Home to Roost set and was punched with the Classic Label punch. Red accents are a second punch in Real Red, cut in half and trimmed to accent the end. Attached with mini dimensionals.

Here is a hint for the Buffalo Check stamp too. First one I did, I just stamped taking the stamp to the paper that was cut to size. That gave me no room for correction though if it wasn't straight or centered, and it wasn't! This one isn't perfectly centered either, but it is better than the first. So, leave your layer bigger than you need so you have room to trim down. AND, lay the stamp on it's back, ink and lay the cardstock down on the stamp. You can see better the placement that way!
