Club Samples

Last night was my monthly club gathering. I have such fun with my group, and we had a few extras this month so it was even more fun. Thanks ladies for making a bad day a whole lot better!!!

Here are the cards we made.

For this one we used the Paper Piecing technique using the Year after Year set and See You Around Jumbo wheel that are part of the Free Wheelin' special currently going on at SU! My scan colors are still a tad off, sorry! The base of the card is Certainly Celery. The wheel was used on Whisper White with Certainly Celery ink. We stamped the elephant twice with Basic Black-once in the center of the small Whisper White layer, and again on a piece of Certainly Celery Prints Designer Series paper. We cut the elephant only out (left the base, pull string, etc) and layered it on over the white stamped image. The cart and wheels were colored Celery with the marker. We added Black brads from the Vintage brads set to the center of the wheel & the eye of the elephant. The 'congratulations' is from the Phrases for a Friend set from the Occasions Mini catalog. Lastly we layered it all together tying Black gingham ribbon around the small celery layer.

This card uses the Tart & Tangy set from the Occasions Mini, along with the coordinating Summer Picnic Designer Series Paper and again, the Phrases for a Friend set. This was is quite simple but is an awesome look! Card base is Bashful Blue. We stamped the 'celebrate you!' in Real Red on the Bashful. The cherries were stamped using markers on the stamp for a two-color image. Cherries in Real Red, stem in Old Olive. We stamped that on a scrap piece of Whisper White and punched it out using the 1-3/8 circle punch. We layered that on a Real Red Scallop Punch and added dots with the White Gel pen. The Cherry print paper was layered over an Old Olive layer, and a Striped Red Grosgrain Ribbon was knotted around. Quick & easy!!!

I'll be back tomorrow with the Bagelope Basket that we made. Have a good weekend all! I for one am very glad it's Friday and I get two days off from the day job.

These cards turned out really cute and I used the Celebrate You card as a thank-you note today and actually sent it in the mail to someone else! Usually I save my cards from workshops. It was easy to make and I love the colors.

Thanks again!
