Open House Snow Flurry

Look what you're missing by not stamping with me today!! Here is card one for the World Card Making Day Open Houses.

My Stampin' Success (magazine for Demonstrators) arrived Monday just as I was working up cards. I was inspired to create this based on a sample and idea in there. Their colors were completely different, but the layout almost the same. My card base is Early Espresso. The background, Naturals Ivory that was embossed with the Northern Flurry Embossing Folder. The "Believe" is from the Snowflake Soiree set in the Holiday Mini and was stamped in the bottom corner in Early Espresso. You will be seeing more of the Snowflake Soiree set!! Not sure why I resisted it initially, but the snowflakes are very pretty and the words are great too!

OK, the snowflake element. All three snowflakes were cut with the Snow Flurry Bigz Die from the Holiday Mini. The largest was cut from Silver Shimmer paper. After cutting, I dabbed Early Espresso ink over it. It gives it a very pretty brown hue to go with the rest of the card. You don't get tons of color this way, but it definitely adds something!! This idea was in the Stampin' Success. Thanks Stampin' Up!! The middle snowflake is Early Espresso, and the top Naturals Ivory. They are all attached together with a Metallic Brad and then layered onto the card with dimensionals.

Thanks all for stopping by today!! More cards to come this week from Open House!!
