Thinking of You Sheltering Tree

Good Morning all! I was inspired by another color challenge this am and came up with two cards. Very similar, and I'll explain why I did two below! My Maple trees in my front yard look very similar to this right now!

Here is the color challenge from Color Throwdown that was my inspiration, their current challenge CTD514.

I started by flipping through my catalog to find a set other than Painted Harvest to use, although it would have worked very well! Sheltering Tree was my choice. The challenge Orange, Brown, Rust and Yellow becomes Pumpkin Pie, Early Espresso, Cajun Craze and Crushed Curry in Stampin' Up! colors.

On both the tree is stamped in Espresso on Very Vanilla. On the top, I started with Crushed Curry and stamped the leaves over the tree. I then added Pumpkin Pie by turning the stamp slightly to the left, and Cajun Craze slight to the right. As I was doing that I wondered if the order of the colors made any difference in how the finished tree would look, so I did a second one and reversed the stamping order. There is a difference, but I think it is as much about the image placement and accents chosen then which color was first.

The top card has an accent layer of Crushed Curry and a Copper Trim bow. The bottom has Pumpkin Pie ribbon and accent layer' Blend. The Pumpkin Pie ribbon is the Whisper White Classic Weave that I colored with my Pumpkin Pie Dark Stampin Both card bases are Early Espresso. Thinking of You was stamped in Espresso at the bottom. Two very quick cards with unlimited color possibilities!!

Thanks for stopping by today! I'm off to household chores and office work after taking most of the day off yesterday to rest. The snow outside is melting-yeah! Hopefully we can get back to Fall!
