Daisy Lane 2 ways

Howdy again all! More creations from the other night. Daisy Lane, a retiring set :( Get it now!

I saw something similar on either Pinterest or Insta (can't find it again!). but inspired so here we go!

The card I saw was White on White (no accent layer), light Daisy in the background, color popped Daisy and saying. Here is my first attempt (click to enlarge!)

I seem to not be able to *not* do an accent layer! And, my neutral colors are all dark, not light! I just reinked them so that is part, but I honestly never feel they are "light". This one is Gray Granite and Melon Mambo. I stamped the daisy on the background randomly. On another piece of Basic White I did the Daisy and Friend in Melon Mambo. I punched the Daisy with the coordinating punch and hand cut the Friend. Card base is Basic White, accent of Gray Granite and background of Basic White stamped with Daisies in Gray Granite. The Daisy and saying are attached with Stampin' Dimensionals. The Daisy has Stella in the center. I added a few sequins for accent. Leftover sequins from the last Paper Pumpkin I did.

Second play, similar but different! Crumb Cake with Polished Pink (click to enlarge)

Same as above, just different colors. Crumb Cake accent and background stamping, Polished Pink flower and saying. Same sequin accents.

Daisy Lane Colors

Hey all, Happy Wednesday! More shares from me :) Are you joining me in trying to #keepstamping? I was on a roll Monday afternoon, we'll see what the rest of the week brings!!

Here are a couple cards I colored for the next challenge from Stampin' Up! I love the Smile and Friend stamps in the Daisy Lane set, so this time I decided to use the flowers too! The challenge this week is Night Of Navy, Pear Pizzazz and Pumpkin Pie. I struggled briefly with this, as Pumpkin Pie to me says Fall. But then I decided flowers come in all sorts of colors! Two different versions, read the details below.

This one is true to challenge with the colors. I used the regular Stampin' Write markers to color the flower and stem images that were stamped with StazOn ink. Pear on the stem, Navy flower centers and Pumpkin petals. I tried to go lightly and leave some white space. I also took the fine line and went over a few areas for accent. Card base is Very Vanilla, accent layer of Pumpkin Pie and background of Thick Very Vanilla. Sweet and simple! #simplestamping

For this one, I reached for Stampin' Blends. We do not have Pear Pizzazz so I switched to Old Olive for my green. The flowers here are stamped with Memento ink. I generally go over most all the area with the light color first, then accent with the darker and finally blend over where they meet with the light again. These flowers pop to me compared to the other. I did the center with the light Navy and only added a bit of dark before blending again. Flower petals all light, then the outside with dark and blend. Coloring is generally not my thing, but sometimes it just works :) Same cardstock here as above.

Thanks for stopping by today! One more post for sure this week so stay tuned! Let me know if you have any questions or I can help with anything!! Product details and shopping links below.

Ornate Style

Happy weekend all. A busy but good day at the office, martini now in hand :) Various around the house plans for the weekend. Some outside, some in the office, some in the stamp room and probably some Disney movies as we try out new to us Disney+.

My first play with the Ornate Garden Suite uses just the Ornate Style large flower! Colors are from The Color Throwdown Challenge of the week #CTD587.

Colors are listed as Pink, Gray, Green and Kraft. The SU! Colors I chose are Flirty Flamingo, Gray Granite, Mint Macaron and Crumb Cake.

I stamped the image with Memento ink and let it dry. The cardstock used is a Shimmery Vanilla (contraband) but very similar to the Shimmery White that we carry. I used Stampin' Blends to color. First the leaves with Mint Macaron. I like to color the entire image with the light color, then accent and edge with the dark. So on the leaves I did up against the flowers dark and the lines. Then go over the blended area again with the light. Small flowers are Gray Granite. Center flowers and stems are Crumb Cake. Large Flowers Flirty Flamingo. Very happy with it, especially considering I haven't stamped at all for a while, and it's been FOREVER since I colored anything! Smile is from Daisy Lane. Card base is Flirty Flamingo, accent layer Gray Granite.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a GREAT weekend! Stay home, stay safe :) #keepstamping Product details and shopping links below.

Dandelion Smile

Hey all. My go to is Happy Monday, but I'm not going there today! Just so much crazy going on right now, and we'll leave it there! I did get lots done in the stamp room last night and maybe more later? We'll see. I did just clean off my office desk so I can at least think about working on taxes. They do need done sooner or later, but I need one more thank you card to mail too :)

Here is another green card I came up with last night!

Cool right? Not an original idea, I saw something similar on Pinterest. But thought it would be cool in greens. I angled the circles from Beauty Abounds across the card, alternating the large and small images. It is two shades, but not obviously so. I thought they would be more different. Card base is Granny Apple Green with a Basic Black accent layer behind the Whisper White background. The bigger circle element is stamped with Granny Apple, the smaller is Lemon Lime Twist (retired). I stamped the flower image over in Tuxedo Black, and then the floater image twice at the top. The Smile is from Daisy Lane and seemed a perfect fit! What a happy card! Picture it with a Rhinestone in the center of the flower because I'll be adding one :)

I say this often too. Imagine the other colors that will work with this. And sayings. Thank you, Birthday, Thinking of you?? I have a few more coming so stay tuned this week! Product details and shopping links below.
